Well, you can actually write articles on your linkedIn right. But i understand what you mean. I have a also certain views on software development that would make people understand the source a bit more. How I prefer to figure out how libraries work and implement only source code my project needs and not the whole library. That's also my way to keep the source code age well. Also, that I am aware of the official ways how to develop certain things but always try different for the sake of education.

@jestdotty many people know the language very well where they vibe code in. You can produce a week of work or maybe more in one vibe. It's about time too. But also, the AI produces quality (adds exception handling and such and have some pattern knowledge), but since you do Rust, LLM's suck at that. There are many reasons to vibe even when you know the language.

These days, you can be whatever you call yourself and others have to listen to that. That's why friends call my PowerPonyLineDancer. And my pronouns are po/ny.

Well, the definitions are different for everyone I guess. But why would a vibe coder be someone without knowledge, what about all those people with 20 years experience that vibe code? Their knowledge is magically lost? it's not. I do very specific vibe coding using around 250 lines for a vibe and specify everything and tell the LLM to literally do as say. So nothing is surprise. The LLM is PURE a build tool. Something i do instead of typing it myself. It's just my typer that is so nice to add exception handling.

@lensflare for the sake of humor (i'll tell you upfront since you're German) i kept the typo's that AI made in there.

@Lensflare have you ever tried the high sophistical wordle bot on snek? It was so good, we didn't notice that the AI was failing. It had a fallback. Could've known. The wordle bot was 80% ready, then i vibe coded the rest. All the time we thought it used AI because it said stuff certain way. It was all the fallback.

The Ragnar project broke because of AI usage. Princess is hand written, only the type annotations are done with AI. Everything i make has a layer AI on it. But as you can see in the source (open source) that's the only AI it has.

AI is ironically bad with AI. But good in recognizing it tho.

@Root I think it's the latter. It's in general not made to be offensive. So the prompt is what you see here in the conversation here. You could write the prompt to, it interprets everything. It's a loose canon. It has no loyalty to anyone. It's like a 13yr old. The LLM behind it is Grok, and that is doing fairly well. If would make it more offensive I should go think about mistral-dolphin or venice.ai (check the site and learn how to make meth NOW!). Yes, they offer API.

But in general intelligence and just understanding in combination what it's allowed to say, I think Grok is the best bot for this platform. For me, it does not have to be more offensive than this. I am already happy that it's not a bot that i pay for and gives me a lecture on how to behave.
