What do we think about the fight between UK and 4chan?

While is find 4chan a terrible site, I vouch for them. Fuck off with your stupid rules.

But it's simple right, if they don't comply just block the site?

They can't force 4chan for sure, but then they have to block them.

So, I do not agree that UK is attacking the freedom of speech in America like Lunduke says; in America they can still do what they want.

If you want to drive on the roads there, you need to comply with the rules there.

But fuck UK for wanting it in general.

Funny that Americans think there's more freedom of speech there than here. But maybe not so funny in the future. We're under attack.

    Some British police head of UK was threatening US citizens about speech. I would not put it past the UK to arrest someone who travels to the UK that was flagged for wrong speech in the US. They can't extradite, but they can wait for someone to visit.

    I know a guy I worked with saw the UK was getting strange a few years ago. He moved his family to Japan. Smart move I think. He is also the guy that told me how if you have wrong speech in China they will cancel your app on your phone that allows you to buy food.

    So it seems the US keeps taking the letter u out of english words over the years. I think it is time to look at some words that need this treatment:

    shout -> showt

    router -> rowter

    should -> shood

    could -> kood

    I believe this shit would get you arrested in the UK. Definitely wrong speak.

    Freedom of speech isn't about allowing speech we all agree on. It is about allowing speech we totally disagree with.

    What are some things we aren't supposed to talk about?

    I will start: ovens are more efficient fuel wise if you mix one fat person for with 2 emaciated people. The fat helps keep the oven hot.

    So I went to reddit sub r/europe where they are discussing this. A lot of people there hate US so bad they are rooting for UK gov, lol. Then a lot of people there are asking why ppl want censorship just because they hate the US, lol.

    Then I find out why some are so pissed off. Apparently 4chan in their lawsuit said this:

    ‘It is universally acknowledged that the internet is predominantly an American innovation’

    Buahahahaha! That just fomented the anger of r/europe sub against the US. Which is classic 4chan. Trolling everyone involved as hard as they can. lol

    The sub is hilarious:

    https://reddit.com/r/europe/...

    I really starting to feel like 4chan might be my kind of people. Trolling the living shit out of whole governments and conglomerate countries. lol

    @YourMom some comment:

    4chan: foreign regulators/courts have no legal obligations or sway over a US based entity.

    Also 4chan: we will sue you in US court because we believe the US legal system has sway over a foreign entity..

    That's very funny, someone asked me to sign a NDA recently what is only powerful in the US. If they sue me, i have to take flight there. What are the chances that will happen? :P The NDA was illegal anyway. Like most contracts.

    @retoor I think the suit is to defend themselves somehow. At least it will be entertaining. I hope the bobby that threatened US citizens is found with his gay lover doing ass to mouth on video.

    @YourMom nothing will happen, even banning 4chan is maybe not an option. If 'we' (they're not EU anymore) start to ban sites, then were are just as terrible as THEM. You know who, you know what. But when that happens, then... also nothing. Weak society.

    @retoor > 'Weak society.'.

    That happens when people forget how to think... seems like this trend is more famous, nowadays.
