> 'how is this heavy??'.
Because snek has gained a few kilograms too many. Must've been all that emoji food I had been feeding it. We're switching it on a diet.

Maybe a data scientist would enjoy it... maybe... doubtful. Why would I want to memorize a bunch of meaningless stats? -
My head is already full of a lot of important information for work && some garbage picked up throughout the years. Memorizing things for a dR trivia game seems like a chore.
-
Why !both? I have found some great / interesting issues w/ the help of each of those factors.
-
@hjk101 True. It's just sad that there are scum that either blatantly rip-off other content to make a quick buck, or use very shady means to 'ride the coattails' which prompted this rule being written down. This should've been obvious, as even unwritten the rule was implied. 'Create your own stuff'.
-
Props.
Side note: I fucking hate GitHub. I don't know how they made their site, but my theme just doesn't work well there. Can't see anything. So I'm forced to switch off my theme in order to see any code over there. https://devrant.molodetz.nl/preview... .
...so annoying. -
Me: 'Hmm...'
* Squints eyes. * -
@freshlyfe Got it. When I had been working from the office, there were times when I would stay late. Being alone in the office was also nice. No distractions... until the cleaning lady would show up.
-
@Lensflare Precisely. The endless waiting is terrible. You don't even know whether they actually read your application, because... no feedback.
-
Ah, direct link to the updated App Review Guidelines: https://developer.apple.com/news/... .
-
Speaking of other platforms - found this 'suggestion' on Google Play for 'Sprint Elf'.
https://devrant.molodetz.nl/preview... .
...seems legit.

- SSDD.
- Looking for subtext in whatever I write, where in most cases there is none. But I still get flak for the perception of the supposed subtext. -
Don't two negatives turn into a positive?
/jk
Joking aside - yeah, rejections suck. At least you received some info, though. -
@whimsical I wouldn't be surprised if it was either malicious or a marketing move... or both.
'Want to know whether this paper has been written by a human or is machine-generated? _We_ have a solution for you. Subscribe.' -
Ah, the race to make human-generated content vs machine-generated content indistinguishable continues.

> 'I could become a heart surgeon tomorrow if i wanted to'
Definitely depends on the field. Yes, medical field does require years of learning && then practice. Same for aviation. IT, however, - you can learn things on your own && be good at it w/o school or paperwork. Then, there are pointless doctorates, mostly in social or artistic fields. -
> 'Just like it’s also a crime if you attempt to murder someone and fail.'
Front man of 'As I Lay Dying' comes to mind. -
@Lensflare Precisely. Once you've learned you're doomed...
-
@Lensflare Hmm... You would've been better !knowing... I know I would, but alas, too late for me.
-
@whimsical > 'I hadn't. Many times a painful moment, you see the respect almost disappearing in their eyes.'
Having a piece of paper doesn't mean _that much_. It could always be the case a person had paid off someone to get it. Or they have the wrong piece of paper.
'Oh, you have a doctorate in social gender justice goobaligoo? How fascinating... You must be very smart, indeed...'.
/s -
@whimsical Could be an obfuscation thing designed so that another one comes along w/ a witty, 'helpful' comment directing the supposed poster to the * cough * good stuff.
-
Yup. Seen that trend w/ smokers throughout all my career. !one of them, though.
Speaking of Pokémon, though, I always liked how it is ostensibly a kids game... all cute && stuff, but it is a really great RPG... Which is why I don't give a fuck about the looks I get when people stare at me while I'm playing the game. -
Yup, cookies are good. Ate a bunch of them the other day. Some biscuit or whatever it was that was crunchy as an outer layer, marmalade for the inner layer. Topped w/ chocolate.
-
So... you work night shifts, too?

/* Gotta say, I do like working when it's dark && quiet around me. */ -
I liked this take of Turk from 'Scrubs' regarding the scores: https://devrant.molodetz.nl/preview... .
While !always the case, scores don't really mean much. -
&& what drugs are you selling? Some shitty F2P bullshit car game?
https://youtube.com/watch/... . -
I have many bug reports that are like ghost towns. There is an upside, though. If it ever hits the fan, I'll just pull up my report.
-
@cafecortado > '*vietnam flashbacks*'
Indeed. I still shudder when reminiscing the startup time of that thing. ...but my work PC at the time wasn't anything special, so that could've been the reason. -
@CaptainRant > 'Or the companies still working with legacy codebases. lol'.
True, but personally I've learned about the tool via Android development. -
@retoor > 'No reason to rewrite in any way.'.
This is the reason: https://devrant.molodetz.nl/preview... .
/* CommitStrip down due to expired cert... had to upload my local copy... . */
