Here in Sweden we have companies that refurbish computers, they are very secure and good. I have one refurbished computer at my own, it looks like it never been used and I gave only 20% of new price.

@FelisPhasma you did the right thing for the first day at work. Think if you where coming in shorts and a t-shirt for the first day and everyone else where using black suit and tie.
I think that a well dressed man is very good in many situations.

I work at a place where clothes is very free, but I always use suit-pants and often a light-blue shirt. Sometimes I use a jacket in a different color (black or grey) over the shirt ☺️

I've ben there too! In 2010 I developed a system for a client who just needed the system for one year during their ERP system change. Since I left that boat 3 years later, my colleague took over the responsibility of the software. In 2015 I had a small chat with my old colleague who told me that he was developing new functions in this little software that the client only was planning to use for 1 year. Now it is 6 years ago we started it in production!!
