@fishfork small audiences with few exceptions. But it's an idea for the small business
-
Try project management? Take some certification courses

In America at least we push women toward more caretaker careers. On accident maybe? I've had a small number of female presenting devs in my career. We've got a few hardware engineers that are female presenting. But the ratio is never 50 50. I think it is getting better though. We contracted a woman senior that I'm onboarding, I've treated her no different than any of the guys but I also don't make sexist jokes. I've never heard any around the office as well.
-
Was going to ask if the URL is real, they must have changed the http to htsp.
-
Heads up I'm american... What am I missing here? 5300 Indian rupee is about 70 usd (rounded). For a year's worth of work? I know companies pay way more than that when we hire outsourced. So what am I missing?
-
Sounds like something that needs a diagnosis and lawful protection. So they can't fire you for it
-
Wish they'd make it work with Gmail the way the their uwa mail and calenders work. I use gmails calenders but don't want to have to have a browser open.
-
@iiii you've missed the point. It's not my lack of understanding what you wrote. I'm skeptical that they will until they actually do. That's what I meant.
-
@iiii sounds like they haven't yet. So I won't be trusting they will.
-
@iiii planning. And I'm guessing it's because you can already connect and download it. I'll believe it when I see it.
-
@Lensflare haven't submitted a build in a long while. I'll time it next time I do.
-
@Lensflare I'm not sure what makes your project so special then because our project publishes rarely and the upload (build and archive artifact etc from xcode) gets sent up and the app remains in processing for some time, up to half the day.
-
@Lensflare takes half a day.
-
No probably not. Place is a cesspool. As far as open source, I don't remember headlines of Tesla contributing or SpaceX. I doubt he'll fost an open source community. He's rich, all rich people take and try not to give too much back unless it's bought and paid for. So he'll consume open source code, but I doubt he or his companies will contribute too much.
-
I'm gonna be that guy. Feel free to decapitate me in your head.... It's not an apk for apple....
-
@dootlurk yeah but still happens. Couldn't convince them to put each microservice in its own repo. Does make MRs easier tho...
-
@dootlurk try running vscode with 160 projects in one repo....
-
@fullstackchris I'm a fan of vs. I've briefly tried netbeans etc. But I'm a dotnet Dev and as part of our stack we also do angular with legacy in python and php. VS is fully featured where vscode gets by.
My hold up is relearning keybinds and then there's a lot of setup for debuggers since legacy code can't run on windows and running legacy requires a vm. If the system was much smaller I could explore ides in the VM but that's a pipedream -
But it's not good for seo
-
@fullstackchris visual studio. I'm kidding. Don't downvote or whatever.

@donno2048 truckfest

You can fail even if you're safe, so do what you want. It'll increase job satisfaction and personal satisfaction.
-
Band name instead?
-
Not to be mean but seeing if you were worth the extra effort to hire? More than likely however they didn't realize you were an international student until after HR passed thebresumr
-
Send Facebook a message. I'm sure they have a copy.
-
That's capitalism for you.
-
@PonySlaystation perhaps. The English is spotty in the ad, so they may not realize what this means to the reader. I still wouldn't apply. Communication would be a nightmare if that's their ad... Plus all the other things wrong with this
-
Also has a thought. Technically Linux is only the kernel. Windows is considered the kernel and desktop manager and it's included applications. Friend of mine predicts that windows will be just another Linux distribution at some point and we have a Microsoft desktop manager.... That'd be interesting if these forced updates problems still get complained about
-
@flask fair point. Data sits in databases etc. The entry point for most hacks however is an operating system that hasn't been patched (and their applications). Microsoft pushes these updates and for the most part I personally have no problems. It's when people do have a problem millions notice it. If a Linux server update has a problem millions notice it but have no fucking clue it's source and blames something else.
-
@Midnight-shcode forgot about that. I've never done that for the longest time but I get the appeal.
