First time filing for unemployment after the layoff. I didn't even know it was something I was eligible, so I'm lucky I spoke to my friend the other day.

    Guess what? There is a good chance you will never get hired ever again for a tech job in the USA (if in the USA).

    @YourMom I feel like the job market is terri-bad right now, but I am lucky enough to be getting some calls and technical screenings.

    Do you live in a main tech hub like San Francisco Bay Area or NYC?

    @drewbie no, bum fuck idaho. I must suck, because hardly anyone is contacting me.

    Also, be careful of scams on LinkedIn. Some 60% of tech jobs on there are fake or scams.
