@rfc7168 it's a photocopied manual that has been sitting on my desk since I was 14 maybe.
Now it's just used as scrap paper, I write notes on the blank back of those pages 😅 -
@RememberMe yeah, you're right about the hashtags, I came here after a loong time 😅
-
SourceTree, SmartGit or Fork most of the times (depending on task and size of the project), CLI only when none of those allow me to do what I want
-
@mrmarbury it really depends on the situation, but try to keep yourself from dwelling too much in imaginary conversations, arguments, and attempts to figure out hypothetical solutions.
This isn't a context where the "debugging" approach generally works, and trying to do so will only suck up your energy.
Plus, your gf may also not like any "debugging" attempt of yours to "patch" things as if you were eager to bring your relationship "up and running" ASAP, as nothing happened.
I believe you took a wise decision seeking for help from a professional -
@ghost1227 as a programmer, I found that speaking to the buggles in terms of literature stuff to describe what I'm doing ("I'm writing a book, made of chapters which tell this story about these characters"), usually does a decent job in delivering the message
-
I feel the urge to see how does Xcode look with that font for code
-
not to mention the "∈" symbol, used to indicate that an element belongs to a set... well, that would make for an awesome password 🤔
-
funny because "ls" is literally the acronym of "Low Sleep" used in tags
-
the pain in seeing a ; after an if
-
congratulazioni!
-
in my defense I can only say that this is a legacy system which I inherited

I'd write that as
foo.setBar (foo.isBar() ? false : true);
or
foo.setBar (foo.isBar() == false)
depending on what really those methods are.
I expect a modern compiler to be smart enough to avoid redundant comparisons and simply replace that with a NOT -
@willol I'm pretty sure you're wrong here: -m specifies a whole commit message, and therefore it does not impose any limit on its length.
it's entirely up to you to format it according to your taste (which obviously may require you to insert newline chars where needed for your goal, if you intend to specify a title and a body, separated by a blank line as usually accepted as convention). -
@Geforce, I suspect you meant "discrete" rather than "discreet".. although I kinda like the idea of a math that is "delicate" and "prudent", as the vocabulary puts it :)
-
@xenonth I see what you did there "*push* to (re)production" 😂
-
@elazar well, that also is the case for c), which also happens to be the only whose syntax is invalid
-
@subha-py
in lack of a better word, I suggest "buggles" -
The iconic "Uh-Oh" sound of ICQ is now my notification for incoming messages
-
@azous obviously you mean the Foo Beer!
-
I'd say "Foo Bar" would be a better name for such a band 😁
-
and it's also re-cursive because used for cursing, repeatedly
-
fellow italians on devRant, whohooo! 🙌

Ah, the countless times I had to resort to thesaurus.com to find the perfect word for the concept..
-
more like "nothing to.. hub"
-
what country has this happened in?
-
that's an Heisenbug
-
you're playing with fire 😂
-
let's surprise everybody and create a startup hub in the middle of nowhere, colonizing a random sweet town in the countryside!
