@Froot i agree, but i prefer my weekends rather free, than solving shit others couldn't do in a week
-
@Froot react has a steeper learning curve than vuejs.
I prefer react, but switching to it would mean half of our devs would be inept at extending the codebase.
Where as with vuejs juniors have a chance to work with it -
I think 100% means full usage of one core, so 500% means it's using full 5 cores and 3 still left for the rest of the processes.
Not so much a OS bug than bad UI. -
Perhaps he used pugjs for his markup and didn't have his node modules installed?
-
In JavaScript it very well could be 😁

Folow up:
I always worked overtime on request and always got recognition or payment for it. My boss is geberally a cool guy and I couldn't understand why it's like that, so I asked for an explanation.
Turns out the other guy is bound by some collective contract from previous employment, and he is bound by law to give they paycheck defined by it or not hire him at all.
I got out with a higher paycheck so I'm not going anywhere. -
@Olverine didn't have a choice. We took him knowing he's "new" to the subject. But after 4 months he didn't learn a single thing, nor did he show any will to learn.
He even sued and extorted some money after that, because we were SO unfair to him, after investing dozens of hours trying to teach him and share the know-how with him. -
@Olverine well, not anymore he's not
-
I bloody love JS.
I would marry it and have little framework babies with it! -
powerdrill is better than toilet paper
-
Sounds like a normal day at the office 👍
-
@bittersweet can't argue there. I don't use eloquent much tho, we have our own API, needles to say, which has its' own performance issues.
-
I must disagree. I work on a dozen Laravel projects and I love the framework.
The problems you're describing lie with the language itself, not with the framework itself.
Second problem is with developers, I have one laravel instance I need to take a dump everytime I open the code. No other laravel project I work on with other seniors has these problems.
You can take a strict framework or something as blunt as Codeigniter, if a dev doesn't know how to use it, they'll find ways to write the code in a way that will make you question their intelligence. -
He did the ... wait for it ... unthinkable!
-
@Alice imagine the code i have to deal with when a dev doesn't even know the basic stuff like saving a svg as a png.
-
Perhaps we have here @mdo to give us more insight on the matter? ^^
Nope. Oh well, I gave it a try. -
Subscribing to replies ^^ i'd like to know too!
-
Works here
-
@sebh0602 :D damn i almost removed pizza and steaks from our diet!
Just drop the second part after [or] we also don't want robots acting as moral officers ^^ -
@Number0 read and learn my dear padawan: http://bofh.bjash.com
it will help you communicate with your users more pleasantly or at least make more fun 😉 -
@sebh0602 i think he over complicates here. How about just a definition of a life form, which we can define pretty easily and a directive through a net of very sophisticated sensors, not to harm any carbon based life form?
Do we want a robot going on a killing spree for the alley cats, because they disturb the peacefull balance of the night? :D
But yeah, I agree any general AI can be dangerous working at it's peak efficiency. It doesn't have to be sentient. -
@PRein i don't see it :-( what is it?
-
rantception
-
That's just one class of the 1000s in our legacy project ^^ none of them documented 😅
Don't have any good advice 'tho 😕
Burn it with fire? -
+1 for the feature request
