@naughtyelf here you go! Very impressed with the screen quality. Can't see any dead pixels.
-
@Defi4NT it would be perfect for monitoring stuff, nice and compact too. Would recommend one, fairly nippy considering it's an Atom processor
-
@Raghnaid Ahh no! But that's so going in!!

That's what business is. Making profit from whatever is at your disposal. Fair play to him.

@SweetHuman deleted his account? His username doesn't click through

@BikerMouse No worries, you guys should so start one as like a side project, get in there early! I can't believe that there's nothing in The Netherlands like that! We use hotel restaurants, you usually charge x amount per head and the hotel gets a cut. They really are useful.

Basically it's an organised event, each week through a provider, there are a few in the U.K. Such as BoB, 4Networking and BNI. You rock up, have some breakfast and chat with other business owners. We use 4N, with that one you do a 30 second stand up to say who you are and what you do. You then just network with other peeps. Usually you'd be the only web based business in the group, just so it's more likely that you'll make connections without any competition. With BNI it's a bit more scientific, you have to give leads and referrals each week to other members of the group, but it all seems a bit forced. I prefer 4N because it's a lot more casual and relaxed.

We use a mixture of social media, organic SEO and business breakfast meetings here in the U.K. Not sure if you guys have breakfast meetings in Denmark, but I'd say we get a lot of business from them
-
I use it for quickly changing connection strings in web.config, that's about it

@DevotedSniper pretty much everyone apart from me and @centralhez. You may need bio hazard warfare tactical gear 🙈
-
@Rooki so true. I have very little sympathy when someone walks in with bags under their eyes and they're sneezing uncontrollably
-
The internet is incredibly light, isn't it? I hope Big Ben doesn't get withdrawal symptoms.
-
@as4891 you're my rock both outside of dev and inside, and I'm properly going to miss you when you bugger off to Australia :'(
-
@nicnaknic beautiful mate, what's the make/model of the monitor?
-
@sulvikkiin on the Mac? Pfft, there is none. Literally a free for all for building apps via Remote Desktop.
-
Omg so dense 😣
-
@rtannerf I see! That makes perfect sense, thank you! I was starting to go slightly mad I must admit. Makes sense that Apple has upgraded WebKit with some ES6 support in their latest update I guess. Indeed, too clever for its own good...
-
@rtannerf oh really... so what the heck was it trying to achieve if I was 'aiming' to compare something to something else 😕
-
I think you might be right. This caught me out royally today. iOS 10 must be shipped with the latest version of WebKit installed and allowed this. iOS 9 does not, however. I was debugging a hybrid app in Chrome and iOS 10... Moral of the story, test on everything!!
-
Yup... 😪
-
@Letmecode Yes! With a jellyfish gun and plenty of ammo!

It depends on what you're doing really. I use Ionic (Angular)/Cordova within Visual Studio to develop business applications with minimal use of the phones API. I've only used the camera for taking photos/QR scanner and location stuff. It works well for that side of things. Although I think I want to learn how to use Xamarin as potential future projects require the use of more functions which I'm not sure can be covered with Cordova e.g. connecting to a Bluetooth temperature probe. In essence I think Xamarin is a bit more powerful and allows you to code in C#, which is a benefit if you're already an existing C# house. Means other devs can drop in and out without having to learn Angular or the ins and outs of Ionic/Cordova

@Jumpshot44 it really is, just a shame the code we had to work with was originally written by an apprentice that didn't ask questions, knew it all. Biggest issue was mixing and matching async functions within his code!
