What about those who have a VCS but do not know or do not want to use it right?
I work with those people.
Don't branch stuff. No merging as we use exclusive checkout policy. Not confident with rollbacks. Always on latest version.
Kind of back up system not VCS. -
Meh meh
-
And now the cat is tired after fixing all your bugs.
-
@DarKneT seems to be ok now.
Must have been some server side issue that probably resolved with time or after I got new notifications. -
I pressed clear button too.

It keeps appearing and disappearing without clicking on it.

My gf is a tester and I am a web developer and we work in same company and on same projects.
I think she likes finding mistakes in my work at office and at home too. -
I'm thinking of marking this post as repost as so many people post about hating CSS.
😝 -
Yours is a rant marked as !rant.
-
I'm learning about our version control system because no one else would.
Imagine the productivity once we know how to branch, merge and rollback. -
I keep an angry bird on my desk.
-
@Letmecode I was asking if 15 people starred (favorited) it or stared (looked) at it.
😜 -
Starred or stared?
-
I'm in same boat.

I recently met a client who didn't know how to zoom in/out of a webpage in a browser.
It's not her fault she has to know but I am amazed how much can be done to literate people more with basic computer knowledge. -
Even posts about not reposting are getting posted so often as well.
-
@wgroenewold thought about it. Not possible with all apps. Data feed is real time and require connection using static IP address. Even thought of physically relocating servers to my home but static IP, and dns for websites was issue.
It's going towards informing our clients and apologising for inconvenience. -
One day when you will find a bug in your JavaScript that took u days, you'll regret not using Typescript.
Speaking from experience. -
Point is when you joined devRant, you are already ready.
-
@orijin not offensive at all.
We are told not explained why a decision is taken even though we have to explain why we think something else is better. -
I waited for days for this and one day I woke to see I was past 666.
:( -
@orijin it's not my opinion, but my manager's.
-
@lotd This meeting happened earlier this year, we were not aware of Vue. I personally just came to know about it yesterday from devRant. It looks very promising and probably easier to convince manager to adopt some common framework on all project, much like jQuery.

Chrome everywhere...
On windows, iPhone and iMac. -
Anything man, this is not like other communities where people will pick on you for using wrong terminology.
-
@Artemix I don't like this date format either.

@dfox Thanks for reaching out. I am using algo. For example, today I am seeing some posts that I scrolled through yesterday. May be they have gone more popular since yesterday and therefore the algo gave it another try to get my attention. The cat scroll gif, real programmer image are some of them. May be if I tap and go in it won't show up again.
