Me: I want to try Angular2 as a frontend framework.
Boss: Just use jQuery.
Me: That's not a framework but syntactic sugar for JavaScript. I rather not use it at all and rely more on ES6 shims. Let's maybe try vuejs.org?
Boss: Other devs know jQuery, just write it in jQuery. We'll need to build it fast and you have used jQuery before, haven't you?
Me: Yes, but ...
Boss: And you haven't used these recommendations.
Me: Yes, but ...
Boss: I won't take the risk. I want something that is known to work.
Me <dying on the inside>: If you insist.

Best: Got a job at a rather big company, totally unqualified. They wanted me to start working on an android app to help maintain safety in their manufacturing halls using beacon/ibeacons technology. I had never made an android app, nor worked with gui. All by myself, I created the app and its necessary back-end logic. They were so impressed they wanted me back during the holidays or whenever i have the time, as I'm still studying.6

Completed a project for my final year CS degree and my professor rejected saying it is of very few lines of code.Hope he learns to evaluate projects on complexity and logic rather than number of lines of code. :/29

My boss has no idea what he is doing. Scary for a senior programmer, with 20 years of experience. The guy keeps calling methods statically, in a object oriented project. And can't understand why it won't work.4
