Impostor Syndrome at it's finest.
Any experienced developer knows writing good programs has very little to do with syntax and a whole lot to do with where you put it. If this guy actually did any work over his career he probably knows a ton about application architecture and design patterns without even realizing it.

I am the person at my job responsible for our software to work cross-browser. I don't feel comfortable right now.17

"Voluntarily worked as a tech consultant in impoverished communities to promote social mobility and empowerment through the implementation of a specialized computer science learning program and interactive software handling sessions."
Translation: helped my parents attaching word docs to their emails. -
Arduino, all the way...
I have a burn out for 3 years and a few months ago I found arduino.
Burned lots of money in components in the first months because I got so addicted.
No regrets, helped me a lot, been learning a lot and keeps me focused.5 -
Interview went well until i asked my questions about them.
"Are pet-projects a thing in your company"
... no.
"Can i attend programming gigs in a workweek, and are they paid by the company"
... no, no
"Any restrictions on the IDE"
... yes we only allow visual studio
"Wait, frontend web development in vs?"
... yes
"Do you develop in other languages then JavaScript"
... only Java
I calmly stood up, told them "I dont think that the company and I are a good fit. Thanks for your time."22 -
As a full time remote employee it gets lonely. Im getting ready to turn my home into a co-working space :
* Plenty of space with tables and couches
* Gigabit Internet backed by enterprise networking gear
* Lots of fresh ground coffee
* Local Kubernetes server !
* dog friendly chill space
* kid friendly play areas during the summer
* Mountain home with backyard hiking trails , wildlife lookout (wild deer live in my back yard), and fireplaces
What else would you want in your co-work space-at-my-place (TM)?12
