I've had teachers that dock marks of you don't do that. And if you think about it it's the students that strive to do really well in class that will become future teachers. It's a sad never ending cycle :(
-
Having just finished a project where everyone else on the team lives by tables this rant makes me unreasonably upset
-
What does it do though?
-
If I did that I would freeze by balls off
-
By hard coded I mean they're using the style attribute in their HTML files instead of stylesheets
-
@cyanly I like that it's $X00 an hour lol
-
This is fun because they just got free advertising to all our German friends on here
-
Well it isn't not correct...
-
So did you do it?
-
After seeing these fingers and then examining my own I can only draw one conclusion. Fingers start to look wierd when you stare at them.
-
And the best part is when you're applying for a job you can be like, "yeah I worked on this year long project and these were the outcomes". Can't do that with our current education.
-
I saw something similar so I applied with my cover letter looking something like they ' pssst fuckwad all your applicants are lying to you... XXX hasn't even been around for ten years' not sure why but I didn't hear back
-
But... What is it?
-
Couldn't agree with you more. I think merit of one's ability should outweigh any personal background be it gender or race. Recently a close friend of mine came to me to help start a project where we get young people interested in code. She never saw coding as a career option growing up and only started by chance. So teaching young students both male and female what it is and how it can be a viable career option is very important to her.
-
How do you get such an easy question wrong? Clearly the answer is 13
-
It somewhat pains me that this is essentially hard coded
-
By support what exactly do you mean? Can I not build a website optimized to display correctly on IE? Given that I have to put a fair amount of effort into supporting it in this way.
-
THIS!!! LIKE HOW THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO WALK AROUND BLASTING SHITTY MUSIC OUT YOUR PHONE??? BUY A PAIR OF HEADPHONES FOR FUCK SAKES!!!
That felt good... -
You should arc theme that browser!
-
It may be a little past you still if you're only starting but a template language like ejs would help you a lot! (Plus it's easy enough to pick up)
-
If a client is worried about someone 'stealing' their content odds are they're already dead in the water
-
@PrivateGER well I know I should just use vanilla but jquery makes it so easy to grab things from the page and make ajax requests
-
What's the task? I'm sure we could figure out some way to automate it
-
But... It's scary outside...
-
Side note... They like sisters
-
@ClemFrieckie
So the current solution they are using is WordPress but it's controlled by one department and that's why we created our own, so we could match our branding and have control over the content. They are saying they will make seperate sites for every department using WordPress as well -
When I'm supposed to be doing other work #thestruggleisreal
-
I hated that. I wouldn't say I'm completely relient on the IDE to complete some of the more basic things but in a high pressure situation like a test it's easy to forget small things and lose tons of marks
-
When I was younger I worked in retail and a customer bought a couch. My job was to help carry out larger items. They were driving a smart car -.- like what the hell guy it's not going to fit!
-
And when you sit on the toilet too long reading rants to go back to work without receiving concerned looks
