You know what is THE stupidest and most fucking anoying thing ever? (And partially my fault) I recently reinstalled Ubuntu on my device, meaning I lost my SSH keys. Today I wanted to make a quick change to a website hosted on digitalocean. Now as per good practice I had disabled the root account and the only way to log in is via SSH or using their web terminal. Obviously I couldn't use SSH so I had no choice but their awful web terminal. Not only is it laggy as balls but it would keep hanging up meaning I had to close it and start again. As if that wasnt fucking frustrating enough all I wanted to do was add my new SSH so I could just use my terminal. But NO you can't fucking paste anything into their terminal! Like what the fuck? How can you not have this basic functionality in 2017???

So I need some advice... I've been applying for jobs as a web dev for a while now but not so much as a bite. I think a large part of this is a lack of formal education. Do you think it's worth attending a class just for the certificate? Maybe do a bootcamp? If you got hired while being self taught how did you do it?

So I'm just starting to design websites from scratch and want to get feedback on my designs as I go. Do you guys know anywhere I could go?

Should I use Ubuntu or Arch and why? I've always used Ubuntu but have seen a lot of people talking about Arch. Maybe it's time to make the jump?

So for the past month I've been working on a new website for my department, it looks beautiful has a custom CMS and is all around great (not to tout my own horn or anything). Now my boss has taken it to the marketing department to get a final approval and they responded saying that a lot of departments are complaining about not being able to maintain their pages and how terrible the current ones look. They want to create WP sites for all the department's and make us maintain them. I know why I hate WordPress but they can't understand what's so bad about it. How do I convince them my custom solution is better than the monstrosity of WordPress?

Have you ever hit a wall? Like you know what you want to do, you know how to do it but it will not work for absolutely no reason you can see? I've spent the better part of 5 hours trying to add an image upload to my node app and have nothing to show for it. I've tried multiple packages to no avail. I've deleted everything and started over so many times I've lost track. The only thing I can think of doing now is bashing my head off the keyboard and hope that spews out some magical code that will fix my problem.

Just set up gulp for the first time... Now I'm just making stupid changes to see everything compile and reload the browser. What an Easter treat :D

I see a lot of arguments out there over 2 space, 4 space and tab indents but I think the really problem are the people that double tab. Yes they exist and yes they are the real scum of the earth
