@filthyranter everyone I know have consistently had that experience with Windows, but it's not what made be switch. It's not blind hate; I'm just not a fan of Windows and believe that you can "use" more of your hardware with Linux. So I thought I'd make a sarcastic comment about it...
-
@filthyranter fake or not Windows does this. It also updates when you want to shut down your damn PC and go to bed. Sittin' there, taking forever on 30%... So yeah. Uninstall Windows and install anything else. 😉
-
1. Uninstall
2. Install Linux
3. Enjoy

You know, gnome 3 is annoying with it's workspaces. I don't like that you're forced to have only vertically expanding workspaces.
-
This sounds quite interesting... Interested to hear more.
-
This looks quite interesting. You should add some real world examples in the repo. Also, what's is performance like?
-
I think it would be more appropriate to say:
if (date == "whatever") {
age++;
} -
@rostopira amen dude. That's basically what I said.
-
That bastard! Who puts not-function curly braces on newlines?!?
-
These are the idiots that are responsible for data breaches. They want to believe they know better than the engineers, but they know sh*t.
-
You know, it's all about politics sometimes. Somehow I've been limited to doing boring front the stuff as well.
-
I think requesting people to sign an NDA is a rookie mistake and a red flag for me. No one has the time or interest (or technical expertise) to copy what you've set out to do (an untested and unproven idea). When you share your vision you get to see if people actually want what you're building; discovering people have no interest in your startup a year in can hurt and has proven you've wasted your time. Also, most people won't waste their time signing an NDA just to hear an idea. Please, please don't do this to an investor; it'll send them running.
-
@tracktraps I think it's a game fish. I don't know though
-
I can't actually edit it, but it's not OC.
-
@TerriToniAX my post there answers the question of whether I've programmed in it. I have roughly 5 years of experience in it and I can, confidently, say that it sucks.

Well, to give him some credit, anything is better than PHP.
-
@olezhka well, I always imagine pouring Water in their keyboards to ruin them 🤐
-
@No-one instead of doing arr.indexOf(something) > 0 you do ~arr.indexOf(something), because it inverts the indecies. Instead of 0, 1, 2... You get -1, -2, -3...
-
@No-one I use ~ quite a lot with indexOf. I discovered a few years ago and was mind blown.
-
My boss would go nuts about that (not in a nerdy way).

@dontPanic
-
@dontPanic we'll know when we hear news about him getting arrested.
-
@kurtr haha! That's a nice one!
-
@kurtr I edited the original one to look like this. The original one says "Old man yells at cloud"
-
@tracktraps yep.
-
@RealKC PHP 7 is much better, but it's still missing a lot. It seems like they're just patching their crappy versions.
-
@tracktraps I've tried to use types for everything; on parameters, return types on functions, etc. This has made PHP a much more sane language, but there are things PHP is just horrible at.
-
This is how I'd respond.
-
@BindView this is the correct way to respond to this abuse.
