@CozyPlanes Hey, no problem. Thanks for the great discussion. Hope to have you on Altmail someday. 😃
-
@linuxxx You can read Privacy Policy here: https://altmail.in/privacy-policy/
Thank you for notifying. The link was getting squashed on mobile. Just fixed it. We hope to have you on Altmail someday. 😃
Thank you for your kind words. -
@Froot If you already have a secondary email address, you can just forward it to your Altmail ID. A number of our Beta users do that. Reason for this is the way we have designed Altmail, and this is just the beta; A lot more to come to make your email experience better with Altmail; We have just got started.
I already use Gmail Inbox, but it's not solving my problem, just a mean of running away from the prpblem. 2 months back, tired of my cluttered inbox, I decided to go thru each and every email in my inbox to devise a plan to fight email overload. That's when I realized how much information I was missing out on! There was a hidden treasure of information that I was just ignoring.
Little more digging made me realize that problem occurs because we receive information in the box where we come to communicate.
That's when the idea of Altmail took place. Hope this helps. -
There are 20x people at your office, mb?

W3Schools is shit. Get on freeCodeCamp.

@CozyPlanes Altmail is more of a smart inbox without a reply button. It handles all your newsletter, digest, deal and update emails and helps you declutter your primary inbox. So for its current applications end-to-end encryption is not required at this point of time. But it's still an inbox. So we have been using industry standard protocols and security layers to keep it protected. Hope this helps. Thanks. :)
-
@CozyPlanes BTW, do checkout Altmail. You might love it and won't need your own email server, because Altmail is much more than just an email address!
Reach out to us at info@altmail.in if any query.
Thanks. -
@Jilano Sure. Thanks. :)
-
@anishagnihotri Thank you, Anish. :)

@CozyPlanes Our awesome tech ninja is already working on a post. Will share soon on our blog. Thanks. :)
-
@Skayo Thank you. We will get in touch with you soon. :)

Guys,
If you have any question/feedback, let me know. I would be happy to discuss. Thanks. :) -
@soulkicks Thanks, man. Appreciate it. Let us know if we are missing anything. 😀

I listen to Programmer's Music - https://promusic.tech/2mJrw8A. They have all genres andthey are all instrumental tracks.
-
I use this: https://promusic.tech/2mJrw8A. It's completely free.
-
I know the feelong. I get disturbed by even phone rings. I have started using instrumental edm/chillstep music to be mpre productive and experiencing good results. I use this - https://promusic.tech/2mJrw8A. Or just put on in-ear headphones without music if you dont like music. 😀

A year or so ago, I had read some reasearch article on Hardware review magazine and they said apperantly (read ironically) iMac is the best hardware to run Windows on. This just remided me of that article. Cool. I bet it won't blue screen as often. 🤔
Besides if you give someone some standard pc hardware they handle it poorly, but I have seen people taking extra care of their mac hardware. Coz it looks luxurious! 😉 -
@aaeim Yes, as it uses YouTube. But we will change that soon, so please stay tuned. Thanks for checking Programmer's Music out. 👍
-
@phiter For now, yes, but without those annoying skippable ads! :) Thanks for checking it out.
-
I am not judging anyone, but that person must be still using win 98 or xp. For years 80% of normal users thought Internet is spelt wrong and has an icon 'e'.
-
Hello everyone, we are glad to inform you that '3,2,1...go' has gone! Those who love pomodoro, now one bell is for start and two bells are for stop timer notification. Let us know your thoughts. Hope you'll enjoy! You guys are AWESOME! 🖖
-
@jakobev Thank you! By app, do you mean Mobile apps or Desktop apps or both?
-
@retnikt Thank you. 😀
-
You swapped D and S keys, P and O and M and N key. Cool.

@RTRMS (2/2)
As a Product Designer/Developer, it is our task to create something unique based on research with a subset of users and let the universal set of users decide, whether using given product will be helpful to them or not.
It applies to Programmer's Music as well. We don't want our users to waste time finding the right music and hence, we are giving them an option to listen to their favourite genre with pre-selected tracks.
At last, the whole idea of being a part of this community is to gather feedback from awesome people like you. And during the beta we want to evolve the most. So, thank you very much once again for your honest feedback. We loved it. :) -
@RTRMS The last line of your second comment is gold!
"We are not human, please stop trying to treat us a such." :)
And, I couldn't agree more. That is why there are many products we see popping up everywhere everyday, because everyone is different and they make different choices. For example, I am very picky about the music I listen to. I will spend an hour to just have the right playlist. But I love to try new music, too. So, I will spend that extra hour to create a new playlist. But that's just me.
As far as Pomodoro is concerned, we use it ourselves and it has reduced our stress levels a lot. It takes some time getting used to it, but once you do, boy you will feel like a task slayer! However, if Pomodoro was so great then why GTD exists? Correct, everyone is different.
TBC... (1/2) -
Good one, mate. They deserved it. :)
-
@Atlas We hear you.
As much as we understand that one my be engrossed in the task, taking regular break prevents burnout and degradation of focus.
But we totally know, what you mean. What if we made the start and end of Pomodoro timers subtle? This way music will keep playing, but you can choose not to notice it. Will you be happy to try it out? I will also discuss this with my team and see if we find even a better way. Thank you for bringing this topic up. -
@sebh0602 Thank you. You've got it right. ++1
-
@theonionknight Brilliant question.
It's a secret recipe. :) We analysed a number of research papers on music and it's effect on focus, concentration and ability to handle intellectual tasks.
We then came up with a set of rules, which every track needs to satisfy before we add to our playlist. If you listen to any of the playlist, even if you don't love genre, it won't hurt your ears. Perhaps few minutes later, you will be working without noticing that you're listening to a genre you're not a fan of!
Please try and let us know your thoughts. It's a science and we will continue perfecting it.
