Ha! I use Zsh. 😎
Sick design and very well incorporated Arabic. -
I just installed Ubuntu. In the early days of my Linux journey, I tried downloading and manually installing Nvidia drivers. Won't recommend that. Instead, through software and drivers gui settings select Nvidia drivers. I found that to be a much stable choice and I see no drain issues. Do share your eventual journey and experience.

@gitpush it is really hard to fight the argument 'you were working last on it, it must have been you!'
-
@px06 yeah, a plenty. On the 16.04 LTS you would have Unity out of the box, that have gone away with that. Instead, you have Gnome 3. It's a little fine tuned to be more Ubuntu. By that I mean, it's more Orangy in places. Also, it's not LTS, if that's something you look for, maybe wait. Then, I got to know about Gnome Extensions, some of which are pretty neat. There is night mode which I appreciate but don't know if it is a new feature. That's all I could think of right now.

Oh boy. My first semester, all students paid like $10 for a membership at Mozilla. And we were to get some swag too. Never got that. Now, the club is defunct too.

To give options, WPS Office is also good. Although, recently, I have started working on new files on Google Docs, Slides etc. That way, I am assured a rather consistent experience with ability to share in multiple format.

Deepin has out of the box touchpad gestures. Be sure to check that out. It's pretty accurate too.

getnada.com is an online temporary email made for all these thousand signups

printf("ruby 2.%d.%d", rand % 10, rand % 10);

@Voxera I thought I was the only one to actually go through with that

Probably Windows forcing itself at the top of the boot order. In case it's much severe, use a live CD. Boot into it. Refer Arch wiki for installation guide. Mount your drives, chroot and do grub install.

I would say I do use considerate amount of data hoarding companies but you could not be more off about this. By giving up information like this, you are literally at mercy of an unknown entity. Granted, you might not be some public figure, that doesn't underplay your vulnerability. I guess the issue is how people never really care until a monetary threat exists. The issue with data collection I have is my loss of individuality and identity. I am reduced a model's interpretation of my activity. As highlighted above, this information is then used to manipulate me. Trump's election was backed by an actual company literally manipulating news to form one would sway their decision over.
Using services might affect you because you don't care, but next time your feed has a news article, do judge the source.
Since almost every decision is made online, do think how did you get to that?

I just switched to PyCharm but not without IdeaVim

I used Arch with i3wm once. But my college imposes self signed certification for connecting to the internet. That broke a lot of my updates. Rendering it useless. I vowed to wait for my college to complete.

As a Linux user under the most generic workload, the issue that new users face is finding one complete Linux package, much like Windows and Mac.
There are decent offering but it isn't really Unix philosophy wise. The real essence and fruits of a Linux system can be derived through a minimal install with your choice of WM, along with compiz. Beyond that, just add as your need arises.
OS like Ubuntu allows tinkering to heart's content with a GUI based safety. Such system allows for testing configs and WM. Then, just save it to github and use whatever you like.
Using Linux is a fun challenge. With a plethora of tutorials, try experimenting every week. You'll surely appreciate it. Especially if you get to enjoy a tiling WM. -
I mean Wix is amazing! You want a website? Poof. Like magic. And it's free. I could drag and drop. Hand to God.

Talking shit about AI is like saying 'fire is dangerous; it can burn you' before the discovery of fire.
The most AI approaches go, they tend to mimick us at some level. It acts like a mirror of humanity. To degrade AI is to realize the state of humanity at large. -
Hand to Stroustrup, I need this

Funny really. Here I am getting SSL for my static site, while apparently logins don't necessarily need to be secure.

DevRant T-shirt Idea #727
Compliers don't care about your feelings -
Hey I know you, you are me before I feel in love with elementaryOS.
Linux is hard, but it is only as hard you want it to be.
The take away from @drGreat5 's comment should have been elementrayOS.
It is very straight forward. To nullify your fears, if any, try looking at "things to do after installing xyz linux" on Google. That opens you up to a concise configuration and installation process. This is enough to instill confidence in new users.
In case you are using elementary OS, check out my installation script. I defaulted to elementary OS from deepin after it became dull for me.

Ain't no myth...

I am a novice in python but I suggest using anaconda for python, if you have not yet.
I, somehow, feel more at home with conda than with pip. -
It's like that history project where pretend to have just discovered fire and, now, you are recreating the industrial age.
-
@Electrux Yup, that's true. I, too, am hesitant to switch to Wayland.
-
The real Nikola would go Mach. And it's a matter of preference really. It would be surprising to see a Unity flavour in future, cause that many liked it then. Lol.
Gnome feels too much GUI for just about anything. But it's all about preference.
If you like an out of the box minimal setup, manjaro has a community flavour with i3. -
@Electrux There is Wayland too. It is literally the X server replacement. It also has a X server call to Wayland converter.
It's under adoption and very new, but if you check out Fedora 25, it uses Wayland instead of X Server. And it runs smoothly. There is a i3wm Wayland manager called Sway, in case, you like those.
Read all about it, https://wayland.freedesktop.org/faq... -
@Electrux that's the part I hate about Linux
X server and it's million configs. I am looking at NixOS, right now.
The best Linux to use out of the box is deepin. -
@Flukz talking about 'living in a bubble'? Lol
