I have big plans for 2020:

- learn a js framework (angular, react, vue, etc)
- publish a mobile app
- contribute to open source
- start blogging

If I complete only one of these before 2021 I'll be happy 😊

Finished work early and raced home to have a telephone interview and the company "forgot" to ring me 😣

Next day they emailed to say sorry, mix up at our end, we'll send you some new times. 3 days later I get an email with a list of times and they are all mid morning or afternoon, so I'd need to book time off work for them

Really don't know if I can be bothered anymore, the thought of working for them has lost its appeal already and I've not even had the first interview yet.

Also, I wonder what would have happened if id forgotten to attend the interview? Doubt I would have gotten a second chance...

So to keep me going through the day I sometimes entertain myself by adding funny comments to my pull requests. I sit there giggling to myself like some sort of lunatic and the rest of the office probably think I'm a nutcase.

Our sysadmin is leaving in a few weeks and I'm sure he's going to leave us in the shit.

He's not the type who would format all the drives on the server on the last day, he's more subtle, like resetting our passwords or leave a backdoor into the system so he can keep an eye on us.

Where I currently work (and have done for 10 years) we were recently recruiting for another dev, and one of the other devs and our line manager were running the interviews.

After 3 or 4 failed interviews they decided to test the questions on me... I got 3 out of 10 :(

My argument was (and still is) if I get stuck programming I can google, or you can teach me new stuff. And I can make a good cup of coffee
