I tried to learn Java by watching tutorial videos on YouTube. After falling sleep on chapter 3, the next day I started programming in JavaScript.
Don't ask how, don't ask why.
And yes, I thought that Java and JavaScript was the same... For about 5 minutes until finding StackOverflow.
Good times.2 -
Me being lazy, I wasn't able to end any learning series. Tried again with Java using YouTube videos. Feel asleep after 30 minutes, but the entire series kept running in the background.
After waking up I could understand great part of object based coding.
I seriously think that thanks to that now I know how to code. Like magic.1 -
Me, trying to access an old mysql database on a Linux server, the root user gets rejected. Out of frustration I delete mysql entirely and try to start again.
I was not using sudo to access the root user...
In the bright side, the deleted mysql version was actually an old one, the database is actually fine.1 -

This thing. My C:\ drive is full, and I bought it almost a month ago. It's the solution to all my problems and my biggest nightmare (I need to do a clean install).6

Searching for local jobs, I found this gem:
- At least 4 years of experience in Unity3D with HTC Vive and Oculus devices.
Then people ask me why I want to work on another country...1 -
- Another package from NY? More stickers?
- No. It's a ball this time!
People are starting to look weird at me over here...1 -
Dude: Hey, can you help me with my website? It's for the final year project (IT and Hardware related degree).
Me: Sure, let me see.
Sends a .txt file with two <html> tags, not even closed.
Dude: Can you fix it so it appears with a menu on the top and news on the middle?
This guy got his degree and I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know how to enter to the BIOS of a computer.
He probably doesn't know what a BIOS is.3 -
Working as IT on a local company, I recommended to install Ubuntu on a slow computer. They asked if Google or Facebook would be available...4

- Hey, that envelope seems important, did you get a job on NY or something?
- Better, I got stickers!1 -
Someone posted an Enki invite code here before, and now is my turn to give some invites in return!
ENGYN279 (3 uses only!)

When someone creates a new bug and leaves without fixing it.
And the next day you can see everyone around his desk with unfriendly faces waiting for a fix. -
Any project that starts like this: "It's easy, it will only take us a couple of hours..." followed by "You code and I do the rest, that I didn't use this tool before".

Dreaming to be an architect as a child, to later discover that the world need precise calculations to work. Moved to 3D modeling, and then discovered Html trying to do a website for my models. From that to Js, Servers, Linux, C#... And the story continues...

My laptop is way to old, and I been looking on to a MacBook. I never used OSX, and I develop mainly in Unity with VS, and I also do Web stuff and administrate servers with Windows remote. It's a good idea to switch?18
