Turning Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge into anime girls does not change the fact that they still suck. I feel no pity.6

I have a weird love/hate relationship with JavaScript.
I'm not at all a webDev, but I like to use it occasionally because it's fun and I really like its syntax... but it's an absolute pile of shit.
If you put racing stripes and a spoiler on a golf cart, it's still a fucking golf cart.2 -
alias cls='echo -ne "\x1Bc"'
Actually clears the terminal instead of just scrolling down like clear.1 -
All I've ever done is write scripts and small utilities, but Quality Assurance sounds really fun...3

I've finally gotten everything on my Debian workstation configured they way I like it. Openbox + xfdesktop, tint2, compton & conky. The windows open in the screenshot are emacs, Tilix and ranger (URxvt).3

Well fucking shit, I built util-linux from source and restarted my Debian installation without knowing that mount needed new libraries, so I can't fix it from the install itself because mount no longer works properly and and the root partition mounts as read only. My only hope is to take the SSD out and put it in my laptop (The BIOS on this machine doesn't like booting from external drives for some reason...), boot from a recovery disk, chroot, and re-install util-linux that way.2

Sometimes I wonder if I'm truly a good programmer, or if I can just google things better than the average bear.4

I work for my highschool's IT department (the money I earn goes directly towards my tuition), here is a picture of my workstation. It's a Lenovo ThinkCentre, it has an Intel i5-6500 vPro, 4GB of RAM and runs Debian 9.4.10

After using emacs for almost 2 weeks, I can't tell you how many times I've pressed Ctrl+W, Alt+W and Ctrl+Y in things that aren't emacs.1

Some student at my school died over the weekend. People are acting surprised that I'm not saddened or bothered by it. How can I be sad over the death of a person I've never even seen or heard the name of before? Pretending to be sad or acting like you were their best friend after they die even though you've never even talked to or seen them before is abhorrent.1

When you're writing a Perl script and spend 2 hours trying to figure out why it's not working and it turns out that you missed a semi-colon.2

*plugs in Sun Microsystems Type 6 keyboard*
Okay, several questions:
- Why is my Compose acting like Super?
- Why does Meta no longer exist?
- Why does Menu no longer exist?
- Why is Num Lock stuck on?
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
> Sun Microsystems Type 6
Thats better. -
I love it when my coworker removes my computer from my setup and replaces it with his own without asking, refuses to move and doesn't understand why I'm pissed. I love it even more how they get mad when I fuck with their stuff.4

I swear, the next person that unplugs my computer while I am doing work IS GETTING HIT OVER THE HEAD WITH MY KEYBOARD.
To even think that you would argue and say it is my fault for not moving when this is the first time that this has happened is absolutely fucking absurd and abhorrent.4 -
Getting called to go down 6 flights of stairs to help a lady because she couldn't get chrome out of fullscreen. I was in the middle of replacing a laptop screen.3
