    On my walk today I was trying to think up some random tech words that sound legit, but are fake. However, I think I came up with one that is real, but sounds fake:

    "magneto reluctant flux splitter"

    This might actually be a silly description of a transformer. Which uses magnetics, resists current change (reluctance), depends on flux fields (redundant to magnetics), splitter. So the secondary cuts into the flux from the primary. Which causes current to be induced into the secondary. So this could be splitting the flux field because the energy is drawn from primary to secondary.

    I always get confused about things like that.

    The description explaining that a feature can be toggled 'On' <-> 'Off' is very helpful in those cases.

    /s

    Yeah, it's retarded when a feature clearly needs an explanation, but gets a generic 'This turns the feature on or off.' help text.

    Whats the real option that had you confused ooc ?

    ErP has the exact same hint in my BIOS.

    I had to download the Instruction Manual from the manufacturer's site && open it on a secondary PC to learn its meaning && purpose.

    'ErP

    Determines whether to let the system consume least power in S5 (shutdown) state. (Default: Disabled)

    Note: When this item is set to Enabled, the following functions will become unavailable: Resume by Alarm, PME event wake up, power on by mouse, power on by keyboard, and wake on LAN.'

    @Lensflare but I can't copy-paste-google from bios, dang it!

    @Lensflare wait, I can, if I write BIOS UI in Electron! If I find a way to intergrate user tracking code there somehow, I can raise funds, and we can strong-arm motherboard manufacturers into increasing their bios storage size to 64 gb (minimum for running Electron in 2025). Then, we'll install Electron BIOS everywhere, and boom, I can copy-paste-google from bios! Yay!
