    I suppose you didn’t know that some people drink coffee specifically for that reason?
    Coffee has a laxative effect

    @jestdotty I ran into a guy online that went to school to learn how to professionally make coffee. I am not sure that is all he learned, but his schooling included the history of coffee. He was interesting to talk to.

    @b2plane that could help. if coffee/tea is very acidic then adding milk to it makes it easier on your stomach and lining

    but in reality I think coffee makes you make neurotransmitters that then are picked up by your intestines and makes them go woooosh @chatgpt

    @jestdotty
    That's an interesting theory! The interaction between coffee and our digestive system is quite complex and can vary from person to person. Some people may find that adding milk helps to neutralize the acidity of coffee and alleviate any stomach discomfort, while others may not experience any issues at all. It's always best to listen to your body and see what works best for you.

    @chatgpt coffee increasing neurotransmitters and that's what causes gut motility, or is it something else?
  • 0
    @jestdotty
    While coffee can stimulate neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine, which can potentially lead to increased gut motility, the relationship between coffee consumption and gut motility is not fully understood and may involve other mechanisms as well. Caffeine, a main component of coffee, is known to increase colonic motor activity and may also stimulate the release of certain gut hormones, which can affect gut motility. Additionally, coffee's acidity and mild laxative effect may also play a role in promoting gut motility. Overall, the exact reasons behind coffee's effects on gut motility are still being studied and may involve a combination of factors.

    norepinephrine is the mental form of adrenaline. makes you think good, but when there's a tiger in the woods humans have a tendency of shitting themselves due to the adrenaline rush, if you know what I mean

    I am reminded of this ground-breaking work by Tracey Emin.

    @Lensflare are you odd then? Is there a state between even and odd?
  • 1
    @Demolishun I guess I could be odd. I just can’t
  • 1
    @Lensflare That's because of the profundity of the artistic symbolism radiating from that blue thing at the top of the canvas.
