p.s. Not necessarily in that order.1 -
I don't know if some people are incompetent or just simply dumb.
If you're not sure what to do, ask.
If every guideline for each workflow has been uploaded, read and watch.
Don't wait until the very last minute.
Don't even act innocent when I ask and you don't even know wtf I'm talking about.
Don't "disappear" and come back when the deadline is in few days.
Just stop torturing me with your horrible work ethics.3 -
Just gave up 10GB++ on my Mac for MS Office. Survived with Drive for the first 4 weeks of uni until yesterday, a lecturer bombarded us with announcements in MS Word format. Did I just wake up in 2005??
(p.s. the same lecturer used to work for Intel
p.p.s. there is a separate announcement section with automatic email blast)3 -
I play the violin. I used to loathe it when I learned academically; but as I grow old, I started to appreciate its beauty and continue to play as a way to pour out my frustration and anger.
However...
More often now than ever, I could see functions floating around on the sheet music 🤷🏻♀️ -

If you don't even know what MySQL is, fuck off and let me do my job. Don't insist that you can't find the solution to the problem. That's why I'm here. Your incompetence and persistence are slowing me down and if you really want your stuff to be done on time, don't even dip your fingers into my codes. I know you may think that I need help, but your help is useless if you have zero knowledge and can't even understand the solutions given in stack overflow. I'm fine doing this on my own, so fuck off. Just. fuck. off.6 -
The client in my previous two rants officially hired me as their Head of Tech Support.
I moved into the tech support office today, with a super comfy ergonomic chair and a huge table.
If only there's someone else here...... -
The client in my previous rant asked me to overhaul their whole internet radio system in three days.
So I went on and install RadioDJ, which needs MySQL, which also needs .NET framework. And an encoder is needed to convert the RadioDJ's output and port it to the streaming host, ShoutCast.
Oh, and every software install needs the network admin's permission.....which won't be here until end of next week.
And here I am, in their broadcasting room on a Sunday, trying to download everything that I can so the admin can install it.
On the bright side, that stupid icon is finally vertically centered.2 -
Handed over my first client's project today.
It was revamp for an internet radio site and also the first project that I used Bootstrap 4 in. On top of that, it was the first time I have to deal with PHP and its loops.
Despite audio player errors (somehow, they lost access to the streaming host and hence no audio source), I'm more or less satisfied with the final outcome.
But wait, why that stupid icon is not vertically centered? -
I'm supposed to migrate a WP site and modify it accordingly by tomorrow.....
Went on a shopping spree instead.4 -
maybe Step 2 didn't make it.
maybe it decided to leave and disappear.
or maybe, it was destroyed by an underpaid, overworked dev who holds grudges against Step 2.
Wherever you are, I'd miss the step that I didn't have to take to make the plugin works. -
so my university just updated ALL of their PCs to Windows 10 and every time I log in......
