Ever had it when you’re on a project and your colleague is too slow so you basically have to do half the work?
Well yeah that’s my situation rn , guy too incapable of completing the project so i got to do most of his work.
I’m a bit of both I do front end and back end development mostly front end and that is what I prefer and I’m best at.
But I gotta do loads of back end work that a back end dev colleague should be doing
Smhhhh -
Help me out,
Being a front end dev I suck at back end. I can do some stuff but some of the concepts and other things I really struggle to grasp.
Sometimes when I’m real clueless or have no idea how to do a task the best thing to do is ask one of the senior roles but whenever I ask him he rolls his eyes and huffs and puffs. I get it dev is quite a independent thing and you should do research etc. But it makes me feel so bad and I suck as if I don’t get the question he asked correct or I don’t understand he gets real impatient. I really do try I don’t want people to do it for me of course so I want to to understand but I just get moaned at. What do I do???4 -
I really hate slow developers
No scrap that I hate developers who claim they have experience and knowledge but are so slow and can’t grip the basics.
Surely if you’re are experienced you should be able to work independently and not have someone hold your hand the entire time.
We will never get things done we are a small team as it is you gotta pull your weight man12 -
They think I sit on my arse all day and do nothing 😂 then sometimes think I’m really clever and good at computers lol

It's a Friday morning I'm tired as hell after a hard week. trying to plough through all my work earphones in, music really loud. Sales guy in the office tries to talk to me i didn't hear him as my earphones were in he then says "you need to turn your music down or turn it off if you can't hear us" he said this in this serious tone. *music gets louder* to drown his noise out.3

Transferring all the projects from SVN to GIT is so painful when there are a billion projects that are not working, not live or 'not needed'

<rant>
Sat for most of the day with the work experience kid trying to explain how to debug, I couldn't even find how to make it error we tried a bunch of solutions. Different ways to get to the certain page and even tried older browsers. Still nothing! Trying to explain something to someone when u kinda just do it or don't really understand how it all works yourself is quite a task. Boss found the fix in 15 minutes

Trying to teach work experience kids is hard af when you barely know how to explain, you just kinda do it daily so you figure stuff out

Is it possible to do both web design (Photoshop and the look of sites) and do front end coding for sites with HTML and scss is it all learnable?15

(Apprentice dev)
Cut me some slack ;)
Learning JavaScript for a few days To a week to familiarise myself with it and really get to grips with it.
Then have to go on to jQuery which is a lot a fun I must say, very easy structured framework to learn and found myself getting really engrossed into it.
Now for the past few days I've been learning angular1 which is a really cool framework, can be a little bit complicated at times but it is learnable
Moral of the story is you never stop learning! Which isn't a bad thing by the way I'm finding web developing a lot of fun!7 -
I can't be the only one who gets really hungry when coding? I just snack and snack and snack all day6

Dear client,
Please carefully look at the image size recommendations as it makes your images look like shit. I don't have time to get each image and resize them in Photoshop to make them look decent... I've done my job to constrain the images to make them fit in the box now it's your turn to resize them to fit them in the box correctly
