@Codex404 hmm. I can try that. Let's see how it goes. Thanks.
-
@mrtn hmm, this question changed my view on the incident. Surprisingly, this is kinda helping my confidence.🙂
Thanks man. -
@Codex404 thanks. I did it today. As per him, if I make things strict, people will leave company. Now, how much is too much, that is a question. I can't allow 10+ argument constructor.
And what makes it annoying is that in first month of joining, I was given to attend "coding practices" training. Like clean code, secure code etc. -
@filthyranter I hope I'm not. It feels like they are working on removing my dependency.
-
@xawos haha ok.👍
-
Thanks all. I sent her request. She didn't even acknowledged for 3-4 days. So, I removed my request. I'm feeling so embarrassed. But it's ok. I will move on. But thank you all.
-
@Hu-bot0x58 oh... then? How to pitch in?
-
@xawos after reading your comment, I'm feeling like dr. strange begging ancient one... "Teach me"
Thanks man. I sent her request, waiting... ☺ -
Thanks people. I'll try to contact her. Let's see how it goes. Thanks again 👍
-
@rutee07 wow, that was deep. I should save it. Thanks 👍
-
@danzig666 @xawos how?? I know her social media profiles. But, wouldn't it creep her out if I send friend request or something. I'm quite naive in this area.
-
I also convinced myself by same rule that no shit in office.
But right now I am feeling like shit itself.😞 -
Google provides a video game on their browser and people think it's cool. Github shows skywalker/unicorn, and people think it's funny.
But guy posts about a bear image in login page and people think it's unprofessional... I mean c'mon y'all.
Professionalism doesn't mean boring.
If somebody gets 'distracted' by a moving image, what good are they in their life. -
@ziadkiwan haha, no. I'm only an employee.😀
-
Anyone from India, can you suggest any brand or product. I'm reading suggested articles but those are not available in here. thanks
-
@ymas hmm, I'll take care of this in future. Actually he developed this service under direction of another senior dev. That guy left company because he was frustrated with management. So, in those times, he just approved every code-review without much attention.
There code is very buggy, and everytime a new bug gets filed, he put another condition-check in codebase. Now I'm assigned senior dev for that service, so as a starter I gave so called 'guidelines'.
I'll keep your advice in mind... This is going to be tough journey.😓 -
@stop usually power comes in 5-10 mins, sometimes it goes for upto 20 mins. I don't know exactly how much power does my PC consume. It's not a gaming PC. I run linux and do reading and programming development tasks, like running IDEs, DBs, Java programs etc.
Problem is as power goes, I've to make sure to 'preserve-state' which is very cumbersome process. -
I live in India. We have no shortage of sunlight... Aaaand my blood test said I'm D3 deficient. I guess a lot of people here are D3 deficient, because of profession and lifestyle.
-
I was expecting **forever alone** meme. 😂
-
Will she eat if bad code is written. I heard people's duck poop if that happens. 😋😋
-
Python.
It has "just fucking works" attitude. Easy to start with, easy to learn and IMO, it brilliantly mingles with linux. From POC to big softwares, from scripting to backend to UI, from log collection to machine Learning it does almost anything you ask it to do. -
Also for JAVA, a girl with very talkative and little boring nature, which makes new generation not liking her. But she is a perfect material for marriage as she can cook, take care of children, parents, you and also many other things you don't even know.
-
You just reminded me of my last company...😡😡 Have a ++ my friend.

I've seen this feature in Eclipse too. Intellij even tells me to change a variable's name, because of it's scope, "to make much more sense". I was blown away that day.

So, if you rant your heart out about non dev stuff, and then somebody rants about your rant not being dev related (assume it's letmecode), Then we have 2 rants... 2 awesome rants. But if you don't do so, we have 0 rants.
This way, I think you are the true queen of this land, prospering it's people even though you have to go through bashing. A queen we deserve, a dark knight. -
@rangler actually we don't. We have a tool which analyses logs data and do some research on it. He was suggesting to use ML and tensor flow for better results.
-
@KnutKnutsen I try to be. It's just that last time I did same, and I ended up looking like a fool in front of upper management. And to make things worse, there is always a smartass colleague who has 'answers' for any type of questions asked, doesn't matter right or wrong... 'visibility' is a bitch! 😶

At first I thought it's cookie 🍪, your kids prepared. 😂

I wish I could fork. But mostly I do push-pull and watch other do forking.
