After disliking all the region based ads YouTube has been providing, I have now started getting ads of French products.
I fee like I've been played.4 -
Whole class: makes an sql database using phpmyadmin. Simple, easy, meets the requirements
Me: fuck it. Use python with pyqt5. And Microsoft sql server Spend unnecessary hours on making repetitive functions, cause my stupid ass can't figure out how to pass more than one parameters in class methods.
All in all, it looks good. I feel like I did something, learnt something new. Took on a challenge. Its a wierdly good feeling, somewhat rewarding.5 -
When you're panic attacks stop Midway as you realise you don't have the time to deal with that shit you know you need a break1

Procrastinates, wastes time not working; hates himself
Works on a regular schedule, putting in effort and feeling sleep deprived;
Hates himself even more.
Inner self hatred realises something.
Who said my self-loathing was bad for me??? -
Class about to end, instructor announces quiz. Looks at friend, sees him opening up algo app on his phone playing all algorithms in simulation mode 😂

//Random Mr. Robot thought//
So this picture and this quote in general has been in my mind quite recently. The first time I saw this scene it just passed through my mind as just a wierd quirk of elliot. But upon further thinking, I question that given Elliot is someone who specializes in network security in a sense. A part of which focuses on finding exploits in networks or even software in general( basically finding the worst in them). And the more I think about that,the more I come to realisation that just like most programmers mix together logic in their life in dealing with people, this scene stands out as an example of just that happening with Elliot and what perhaps, makes him such a good hacker. Perhaps we could all learn from this, or perhaps I'm just looking too much into this. Eh.4 -

Sometimes I think that the logo of the betternet VPN is too pure for the purposes it's used for1 -
So just read up that some companies based in china were able to attack Google back in 2009, all cause IE had a dangling pointer issue.

I fucking hate this low level programming shit. The fucking buffer overflow attacks and the whole understanding of the system architecture just goes over my mind. Can anyone who has found relatively useful resources be kind enough to refer them to me so my stupid mind can understand that better?15

After procrastinating 3 whole months of my vacations, I realise now that vacations about to end and I see that 3 online courses that I didn't even bother to start, are about to close in a week.
*Cracks knuckles*
We'll see about that4 -
Recalling the the time I was discussing a web dev based assignment with a classmate( And I wouldn't even go as far as to call it web dev, it was just making connect 4 using js and node).
Me: so did you get to implementing your game with firebase.
Classmate: no, but hey did you use loops for making the board?
Me: ?? There were like 50 elements ofc what did you do.
( Sigh* to think it's going to this)
Classmate: copy pasted
Yup 50 elements copy and paste. like the person I was talking to wasn't even incompetent I mean he had like a 3.5 gpa, how is there any correlation between this stupid number and how they actually code if you can't even code loops. The dude was a 2nd year student. And this wasn't even the only person I heard this from.
Apparently the TAs had to post about how to use loops in Js before we had our lab exam cause so many people copy pasted instead of loops, to think that would ever have to be the case.
The future is not bright. -
My friend after he watched some of the shows I recommend him(silicon valley, Mr robot, etc)

I remember an instructor of mine probably gave my class the life advice that will probably keep haunting me in my remaining two years in uni. In the class the day before our lab exam he basically ranted out what I guess we're justified issues he faced with our class(the class ranted about not getting test cases for the assignments). He then proceeded to explain for 1.5 hours why the kind of graduates we'll become we'll prolly be unemployed or doing 100$/month jobs at some shitty local software house. The whole gist of his rant was fuck your test cases, learn to code. But ever since that this thought has stuck with me, am I even good enough. I mean I don't think I'm that shit but my opinion is biased towards obviously considering myself to be above average.1

Went for an internship interview today
Interviewers= tell us a little about yourself
Me thinking haha I can mention the time I took a 300 level course in my freshman year (have ranted about this) and show them I can take up a challenge = I'm known in my batch for not making smart decisions
Interviewers = sarcastic clap
What the actual fuck,no why why would I even start off like this fucking shit what even am I stupid what even. Great job man great job.3 -
Fun story, I keep discovering new ways of being shameless.
I had been once caught of basically giving my assignment (not one of my brightest moments)for a course to a friend and surprise surprise the instructor did take disciplinary action but he was a bit pissed so infact, he called out for a viva for all the assignments.
The Vivas went fine but immediately after I was done I was like "sir so I'm having a bit of trouble in this next assignment I was wondering if you could help me out" 😂 I have no clue what I was thinking nor was I proud of that.
Kudos to the instructor tho who calmly responded and actually helped me out with it.
Also due to some policy the action could not go ahead so yea guess things turned out fine. Im now hoping to see if he can keep me as an RA. Again, yes why am I like this. Good instructor tho. -
Ayyy, spent an hour installing arch, another with the desktop environment and another cause the audio and a whole other set of problems came up. Safe to say was the most frustrating yet the most satisfying install. If only all installations weren't a boring point and click.1

For some reason my Ubuntu stopped viewing the open windows when pressing 'super+tab' and it felt as if I couldn't navigate the os anymore,like I was just sitting there feeling....stuck. Holy shit we've taken these features for granted.

Not dev but, enough for the story. Had an assignment to create a hashtable for my DS course. Asked a friend how he managed resizing and the load factor
Friend= tablesize*50
Me= what...
Friend= space complexity what... -
Overconfident cocky freshman studying a 300 level AI course, now pulling off an all nighter for an assignment due the next day which I still have no idea how to complete. FML1
