THANK YOU!
-
Not unless you make it an item in your sprint, no.
-
@feroza ah, I see. Thank you for clarifying.
Personally deconstructing a JSON object seems preferable for me. I could map it directly to a POJO or if my backend is on JS, so much the better (that is, if the form always sends the same elements)
Either way, I learnt something today! -
I'm confused why you'd want to. Isn't it usually done via constructing an object and sending that to the API? Am I missing something?
-
If you want an ultrabook go for an XPS 13. O have one myself and it runs Linux without a hitch.
-
@netikras no. It means you're supposed to know how to write an email containing a bug report and not bitch about someone refusing to read through a email thread or have to manually write out requests attached in a god damn image instead of a postman. Honestly, I would have just straight out ignored your request for support simply because you attach images of requests and responses instead of files I can actually work with.
I'm out. -
@netikras but, you're not an average Joe. You're a software engineer. You're held to higher standards than the average Joe when it comes to tech.
If it's an average Joe I doubt they'd even know what an API request is our looks like. -
Tbh i agree with yy team.
If you're including someone new in an email thread, don't make them read through poorly formatted email threads for bug reports. It's a pain.
Instead, include postman requests as attachments.
Alternatively take the two extra seconds to copy and paste the relevant parts into the mail you're sending to team yy. -
Change your SSH port. I haven't had many (if any actually) attempted logins in some time.
-
@cprn oh sweet! Didn't know that existed. Thanks!
-
@ScriptCoded glad I could help.

No, I just use the browser version. Chrome has an app mode which your can use to only show the website without toolbar/urlbar etc.
You can invoke it from the terminal with something like
google-chrome --app="https://www.url.com" -
I've been using teams without any hassle (on Linux in chrome).
I created a desktop entry which launches teams in app-mode. Notifications and everything else is handled by the browser. Clicking a link opens a fully fledged chrome browser tab.
So, in my experience, no, there's no reason to be worried. -
The first mistake you made was saying you've heard of it.
I've made that mistake twice now. Granted the second time went that bad since I actually wanted to take a look at Angular, but damn, that was the last time. -
Maybe it's spaghetti code if it was developed by three peeps in 2 months?
-
@LynxMagnus I got an unlimited data plan in Switzerland (4G) and wanted to see when they'd cap it. So I started running my torrents over it (which ran faster than my WLAN because at the time one of their antenna was outside my house).
After 250gb I gave up. I called them and flat out asked. The guy said "ah you're the user with that massive data amount. We've been having a pot running! Please tell me you've been torrenting!"
I told him I've been torrenting (strictly speaking not illegal in CH).
"Sweet! You just made me a bunch of money! Anyway what can I help you with?"
Asked on him about the may data plan and he confirmed my worst fears.
They actually meant "unlimited". My life was in tatters. A company telling the truth!? What will this lead to?? ACCOUNTABLE POLITICIANS!? -
I once pinned out a big in a system that exposed every customers contact details. I wrote them showing the bug. I'm not in security but would have liked to publish my findings after they fixed it.
Their response was "what do you mean by 'publish'?"
Some people are Muppets. They are the majority. Some people are dicks. They're the minority. I don't mind dealing with Muppets up to a certain point.
However, I have absolutely no brain space for dicks. Consider this a lesson learnt.
The next lesson will be that your teacher will not let this go. I guarantee that this will not be the end of it. I can either smile and nod and then go do what ever you were going to do anyway (easy route) or go head to head with him. I'm pretty certain the latter option will end badly for you since he has pull over your grades. Don't underestimate how petty people can be -
@Root DO IT!
Omg this would be the shiz!!! I wonder how they'd react. It doesn't even have to be via a website functionality you'd have to build, just tell them to send you the video! -
You... You could just respond with " that's nice. I've provided you with a link to record answers to a series of questions for you as an employer. Feel free to complete them at your earliest convenience before the deadline."
I hope you did that. That'd be a baller move. -
@teadrinker I'm worried now. It's there such a thing? I mean, could you literally not find another job or another job that pays as much as your current job?
My I ask how old you are? -
@potata probably the right call. I wouldn't either.
-
TeamViewer my friend. I'm not spending 2h in trains to install a god damn printer.
-
@Condor ah ok. Cheers for the heads up! See you around ;)
-
@Condor :D:D ok ok I concede!
Btw, is that drill strong enough to drill holes in walls for heavy mirrors (for example)? I was looking at some more heavy-duty cordless drills but they were stupidly expensive! -
@Condor I meant, can you run a wireless router without wires?
-
@Condor Ah! But by that same token:
Can you run your wireless without any wires? -
The entire cordless drill hangs on the charger??? Isn't that a bit heavy on the outlet?
Btw, I'm thinking about drills used to drill holes in walls, not smaller hand held drills.
Either way, I can see that we'll have to agree to disagree on the whole "X-less" subject matter and leave it at that. -
@undaunted how do you charge a cordless drill?
-
@linuxxx I'd argue that it's technically correct since "serverless" implies that there is "less server" not "no server"
And that's what it is. Less server administration. Not no server administration.
Same with "Wireless" come to think of it. Less wires. Not no wires. -
Not sure how a "cool master" will help you but best of luck!
