@areimus
Again, spot on. I guess there's no 'official' authority saying that I'm a developer... I mean I could be a PHP coder for goodness sake 😅 -
@areimus
Yeah good point... Wouldn't call myself a designer and then pump out PowerPoint slides as deliverables.
Why is it that so many the people that profess themselves as 'web' anything are just Yahoo's with some basic css knowledge or put together a 'design' using WordPress templates? -
PowerPoint, surprisingly, is not a bad tool for wireframes. Wouldn't he making any kind of custom assets in it, but for layout wireframing it does alright. Bonus being that most anyone can open a power point file.

I find it hard to sell any time spent on accessibility... in saying that I probably don't focus on it as much as I should.
@Vip3rDev have any specific examples of non-accessible design choices you've had to deal with? -
Angular error reporting is a little naff sometimes. Have you tried doing a prod build with aot turned off?
-
@Vip3rDev
As a side note... people don't seem to think css/sass stylesheet structure is important. A lot of devs hate it (so the css is a mess) or they're those cowboy 'web developers' who just place shit everywhere.
Maybe I'm just not working with enough decent front-end people... -
@Vip3rDev
I've also had the opposite - half-ass 'designers' who think they're also dev capable (e.g. "I'll just jump in and change the css")... end up having no idea how to actually develop and consequently have 7 out of 8 PR's rejected.
I've had better luck working with designers who are collaborative (actually discuss what's technically possible and iteratively change designs) but don't jump into dev beyond a mockup. -
Im with @mohamed. No 'pseudo code' as such, but occasionally use some kind of flow diagram (on paper or whiteboard) to figure out what my logic should be. Especially helps with situations that involve some kind of permission model.

Dude, I've got this great idea....
-
@lxmcf
Agree with you there. Found the windows phone great to use... integrated all my accounts .etc perfectly. Just pity there's no apps for it. I saw some fluid design mockups for Windows phone a little while ago that looked schmick... real pity.
Best thing about Windows phone - black theme by default on all apps... really annoys my precious eyes how darn bright most Android apps are by default. Substratum only has so many skins 😆 -
@lxmcf
Yeah agree on most of those points... I'm really not a fan of the shitty note taking apps and other 'S' apps. Just let me use OneNote or evernote or whatever.
Phone hardware is pretty top notch though.
In saying all this, my previous phone was a Windows phone... -
@Artemix
Possibly anecdotal, but my note 8 is pretty darn snappy and gets decent battery life. Only have the occasional app hiccup when I haven't updated substratum. Agree about the rom and warranty though. -
Out of interest, apart from the bloatware (which doesn't have to be used), what issue do you have with the latest Samsung's?
* Serious question - I'm not a butthurt Samsung fanboi. -
@repromancer
Dude, it's all about those updoots... or whatever the easy name is for those ' ++ ' things -
@BindView
That pictures also my internal imposter complex when I think I know what I'm doing and some implementation bug blindsides me.
Thanks for the welcome! -
As a user who just started today... thanks for saving me some confusion
