@lorentz
You are the reason we can't have nice things. -
@Hazarth
I think you mean
"sudo systemctl restart reality.service"
You didn't think you could escape systemd, did you? -
Just to brag a bit.
At the company I work for, you have free choice of OS and between Dell and Apple. At least if you're a dev or admin.
If you want to use Linux or are Windows, you get a Dell laptop (Latitude/Precision/XPS). Else you get a MB. And obviously, you got a local admin/root account and no corporate spyware or domain-join. -
Even more linux: "Here's a port of it in native rust"
-
@KDSBest
Then it seems like i picked bad, but thats whats mainly trained where i live. Also, a lot of companies search for admins here. However, they always want one who knows every ever so esoteric technology, but aren't willing to train a new admin for 2 weeks in it. -
@PonySlaystation
Uhh, Danke! -
@PonySlaystation
I would very much like to hear about them. -
@magicMirror
CPU manufacturer doesn't really matter.
But I want x86_64 because of the better performance and OS compatibility.
I already have 2 RPis but they are causing some compatibility problems with a lot of distros. -
How sad does your life have to be, to spew blatant misinformation about Github of all things?
-
@rantsauce
Thx -
Most people don't.
But then again, I'm living in the Nazi state of Germany, pretty near a city that is dubbed the "Nazi capital" of Germany,
So I'm not really surprised. -
@12bitfloat
Do you live in a separate reality, in which Python and JS have never been invented? -
@jonas-w
Soon:
AWS X3 and Azure Intercourse -
@thebiochemic
Well, it can.
Linux can boot from plain EFI. -
@bittersweet
It's pronounced "la tech". -
Reminds me of my Galaxy Note 4.
When the original battery died, it would loose charge way quicker than normal.
However, if you removed it from the phone for a few minutes and inserted it back in after, you were back at 50% charge, but cellular connection wouldn't work, until you recharge it. -
Calm down Satan.
-
I'm sure there's a connection between GNU and crack.
-
Pretty sure you want Thunderbolt 3, not USB C.
-
@blindXfish
English isn't my native language so, IDGAF. -
Vim-Keybindings

And into the rabbithole you go.
-
Linux's development is the equivalent of a seemingly simple Sidequest in an RPG that went wild really quick.
-
@sbiewald
Not even closely.
The command binaries are mostly just stubs that contact the core via IPC, which does everything. -
What's less believable,
autonomous AI in this day and age,
or Liam Neeson as a scientist? -
@homo-lorens
Wow, a web server can handle multiple domains.
What a fucking surprise.
I'm flattered.
I cant be be myself shit, if the apps it proxies don't support it.
Seriously though, I'm talking about Cloud Storage, chat Apps, whatthefuckever. -
@AtuM
Yeah, but supporting cryptographic identities is so 2030. -
Genie: *Turns it into buggy Webapp*
