@C0D4 He was researching how to also separate our frontend into "micro-builds" lol
-
@k33da How small is small?
-
@Voxera how did you get started working on that big project?
-
@C0D4 how do you find problems to work on?
-
@funnyfunfuck I'm just hoping GitHub actions gets out of the private beta so I can compare it with Gitlab
-
I think GitHub UI is somewhat cleaner and faster. Also GitHub is better if you're doing open source (only because every other open source project is on GitHub)
-
@lastNick I'm not sure about smart contracts in general. But Bitcoin is useful for people in countries like Venezuela, where they can't easily save their money in dollars and their local currency is falling
-
@FelisPhasma Is this a challenge? I won't back down. I hope you give me 50 claps when I post it in a shitty blog on medium
-
@devTea lmao, yeah, the main issue is the amount of posts about frontend
-
@Froot what do I win? :D
-
@lastNick I disagree, I think Bitcoin has open doors for a lot of people. Myself included
-
@coffeeholic I think you can accomplish that, only need to verify they are a real person before they're able to vote but once that's done you don't actually need to know who vote for who
-
@redman lmao
-
Sorry if the questions are dumb, I'm a total noob :)
-
@ganjaman @DubbaThony Thanks for the responses! I really appreciate them.
I'm actually building an Eventbrite clone using Solidity just so I could play around with the technology.
I understand that for things like Eventbrite, it isn't really important to be decentralized but for example, would a Country benefit from using a voting system built as a smart contract?
I know that may be excessive but I'm trying to figure out when are smart contracts useful -
@Alice Yeah, it was the second case. I think I got frustrated because I really wanted a remote job and the CEO had already told me they wanted to work with me.
That experienced led me to learn more about UI toolkits though! :D I can't live without them now for a lot of stuff -
@asgs I liked the company because it was remote and the culture seemed nice. Although, I didn't quite like that they used an online editor so they could see what I was working on at any time and how I was doing it.
-
@Alice Thanks for your input! Yeah, I hadn't seen that way. 🤔 I was thinking that depending on the library getting up to speed wouldn't take too long anyways, but I understand what you mean and agree. Although I would prefer if that wasn't the case haha
-
@Jumpshot44 Hey dude! I was checking my posts after coming back to devrant and I noticed that I forgot to update you!
I got the job! :D The startup ran out of money 1 year and a half later but the experience was great -
How much mbp/s?
-
Oh, i was about to recommend a heater
-
People hate it just because a lot.of successful sites have used it. If it weren't so popular, it wouldn't be so hated.
-
@xsacha or GitLab better still
-
Try Firebase, really.
-
@Alt-Grrr I mostly do backend
-
-1 for duplicate
-
@japsel what method would be more efficient? According to your experience :)
-
@juniordev unless they are programmers?
-
@zombie01 now I'm curious. lol @dfox
-
I don't follow 😐
