Typescript is so fucking frustrating sometimes to deal with
The snippet above AND below do the EXACT SAME FUCKING THING. But because you double tap, it loses the fucking (not needed) type before the mapTo. If you aren't paying attention, you get this extremely fucking aggravating wall of red.
God damn it, can't this be better? RxJS is pretty fucking important, so why is this so god damned hard to just get some coherent fucking code highlighting!?

Anyone else get a real kick out of the fact that Microsoft has their own version control, but they still use Git for Windows?6

Since we announced our product yesterday, the bots have started emailing our fuckin support system (which automatically ends up in our Jira Service Desk).
Pound salt you halfwit marketing fucks, you're cluttering our bug reports -
We got this feature on our app where if you change the status of an action item, it moves down/up to join its brethren of the same status at the bottom of its respective grouping. This is also true for creation.
Problem is: Testing.
I embarked upon this fuckin ridonkulousness today where I had to test all possible scenarios. Empty list, list with only A status, list with only B, list with A and B, list with A and C, etc etc
9 fucking hours later and a lot of anger, I am finally done. I powered back probably 10 club sodas, 6 teas, and had chillstep rollin all day.
If y'all ever feel like giving up because shit's hard, keep pushin. You'll get it eventually ;)1 -
(was just talking to Root now, and it reminded me of this)
You know what I fucking hate about Android phones? They do stupid shit like update your keyboard WHILE you are typing. Hate Apple as I may for having inferior hardware and ridiculous pricing, the iPhone is more worth having than Android. I simply find the features a lot better executed on iPhone than Android, almost across the board4 -
"I'm gonna wake up early, and hammer out this feature, being super productive tomorrow"
Tomorrow comes:
- unexpected build errors
- unexpected runtime errors
- intermittent CI pipeline errors
- spends two hours trying to resolve errors
- literally hasn't touched the thing that's important
What else is going to go sideways? Watch Bitbucket or CircleCI fuck up and refuse to deploy this live for some stupid reason.8 -
Jira really fuckin gets on my nerves a lot. It has so many features, but fuck do those features behave strangely. It's like if you reorder that card on me one more god damned time, I will feed your fuckin testicles to you.1

After a long time of not using devRant, I’m back. Is Linuxxx still huge? Is that wonky raven thing still going on? Does everybody have a Tiger now?6
