I live in the terminal. I write lots of scripts (Shell, Python, node js) to automate tasks that would take hours to do by my teammates. Recently, I started automating everything that I put my hands on using Ansile: from pointing DNS server to continuons deployment, provisionning a fully customized infrastructure on the cloud using just a single command!
This is because automation gives you super power, the feeling that what you do help tl increase the productivity, reduce bugs etc.. Simply, once mastered, automation is ausome!12 -
When some body walks up to you open this in full screen and start typing.

I was looking for a part time job when I was 15, knew nothing about coding, got a developer job cause I said I'm keen to learn xD .. 5 years later.. I'm still learning but I have a better knowledge now!4

Is "sleep-coding" a thing? Fell asleep last night on accident with my phone in my hand. When I woke up, I had typed a few lines of code in my sleep.17

You might call me an insomniac, but I am definitely a night owl. Night cat sounds more exciting. Time for another exciting night in the Land of Code! Meow, meow12

As much as I would love to grow some extra fingers to ++ until my fingers fall off. I think the mass ++ spree should come to an end. Honestly, I noticed a couple of people were only one away from earning a sticker pack and their rants were more than deserving of earning one. I had no clue what upvoting was and I was just trying to pass on the kindness that I had received here. I did read several of the rants and I also quickly skimmed the rest. No matter what anyone says, it takes an immense amount of courage to post any kind of rant on here. So from here on I will only be ++ the rants in the original way that this app was designed for.
Thanks for all the love! Especially the jokes, gifs, and kind words. =)2 -
I gave several of you fellow ranters a little gift of "mass ++" tonight and I bet you're wondering why. I'm new to this rant and everyone has been very kind and open. Anyone that commented or ++ any of my rants received a "serial liking." @Letmecode is still my favorite ranter =)30

This is one of the best explanation I have ever seen for the difference between SIGTERM and SIGKILL.

1. You will write ugly code. Code that is in dire need of refactoring almost immediately.
2. You will write brilliant code. Functions and algorithms that will impress all that use them.
3. 1 & 2 are not mutually exclusive. Good software can be written poorly, beautifully written code can be useless. At the end of the day, just get the job done.2
