probably my favorite rant ever.
-
@samk Thanks for the thughts.
That might be the saddest story I've heard this year. -
@samk that's what I've been hearing. My company uses Exchange-based email/calendar. The address book hasn't been much of an issue, but the calendar doesn't load.
it's the only issue I've run into that's keeping me from using my linux box as my work machine. -
* ...is debugging other people's code
-
@MindfulMinun that was my thought exactly. 👍🏼
-
@oskaremil I can neither confirm nor deny knowledge of said emails.
-
@JoshuaaM if it's to one of my friends it reads, "read me, bitches"
...and yes, I always wanted as the plural form of bitches. -

#MissionAccomplished -
I wonder if your coworkers would classify it as a "fantastic noise?"
-
You left me out if that picture. I care about my favorite language. 🙁
-
@arekxv I agree with XML, but let's not get too carried away here 😉
-
Used to happen to me all the time. It got to the point I'd get out of bed and write the ideas down for 10-15 min.
Having kids certainly kills the insomnia. -
actually, I like that idea a lot. Maybe I'll do the same thing!
-
Just turn the whole site into a single json object. You're a human, so you have tons of attributes that folks would relate to.
{ "name" :
"age" :
"height" :
"weight" :
"skills" :
[ { "web_design" :
...etc. -
@Flarp we were in an meeting, fairly early in the process, and I mentioned it kind of off-handed. It was met with great approval and immediately got voted into our core program. Excited to see what can happen with our school, with us striving to make better critical thinkers.
-
Another vote for Atom. I use VS on my Win10 machine for .net only. All other dev work is done on Atom, windows or Linux.
-
I wouldn't even know that was the common link. You've kind of outed yourself.
-
@Shago @ElCapitan yeah...I'm really good at bad jokes and really bad at good ones. Sometimes, I can't help myself, even when I know better.
-
@Shago I'm sorry for that ^
-
@Shago in which case, one might say compilers have:
no
no class
no class, man -
I don't think it would compile.

It's a poster that hangs on my wall. -
@dfox thanks

*UPDATE*
I opened the box, plugged it in, and I got a prompt, "Do you want to use this drive as a backup?"
...so, yeah. it's not even close to compatible. -
@Marnsghol I don't know what the issue is, I'm not using a little known language. Usually if there's an answer, it doesn't help. I usually find questions like mine without an answer...for 2 years. Or, there's a new version and the answers are no longer applicable.
-
I actually feel more like I'm in the twilight zone if SO has an answer to my question
-
I do that all the time, especially when watching tv/sports online with all the ads.
-
I changed from psychology to web development. All debugging work, but human debugging... bleh.
