@Cyanide Agreed. But because of the complexity of defining a metric that everyone can agree on. I thought I could try to formulate an estimate from he subjective data.

For some reason I had all filters unchecked

What is the scale of the projects you are developing in MERN? I mostly work with MEAN(when you say MEAN, do you mean angular 2+ or AngularJS?) for any project of good enough complexity. Haven't used MERN for anything other than small hobby projects. How's the relative experience?

@theKarlisK Aye aye captain!

Thanks everyone for the help. Went forward with woocommerce. Don't think I will continue with this but it allowed me enough to show them that work's in progress.
-
@devTea Oh. I didn't know about this convention. Thanks.
-
@theKarlisK I am most comfortable with nodejs for web development. As my work is in data science so python and R but I do have to create quick web apps in MEAN stack for my clients so they can see the results in d3 . But the problem is I doubt any of these are useful for e-commerce.
-
@devTea I know. I know. It's not for production. I just need enough to show it to some people I am working on it. It's a favour for someone and I didn't have time to work on it earlier and have to meet them tomorrow.

Here I am getting sad that my days with arch are numbered. Probably getting a MacBook Pro and given that the 2017 one worked horribly with Linux, there isn't much of a chance of improvement and I will be stuck in a walled garden just so I can have access to a godamn OS.

I do this sometimes when I anticipate that this function could be really complex and I would need other functions down the line in this class. Sure there is an overhead here in some cases. But premature optimisation is the root of all evil.
-
I use inkscape for this.

Check out hiri. But it's not open source. So that's a bummer.
Also I am sure someone would have written a plugin for Thunderbird -
I don't know about you guys but I loved BlueJ back in the day. Sure it had so less features but it had enough to get us started. For a 10 year old eclipse would have been an overkill and intellij I doubt existed.

You can check out anytime you want but you can never leave.

Which country? And you should crawl it.

@Jop- You got the joke!

@shelladdicted Both. But main focus is on creating an infrastructure around it. A central server with focus on lower latency and firewall. An ecosystem that you wouldn't hate using. Light controls are almost finished. Door lock(including biometric sensor and NFC) is done except for the video conferencing part.

@HAlex
I read my rant again. It's not clear about the hardware thing. My mistake. -
@HAlex
It's not just apps. It's a hardware startup. That's why I am this scared. -
As an arch user, I agree.
-
For me it is the terminal. How do we not have such terminal integration in Sublime! I moved to Sublime from atom and loved everything but only to find out the lack of proper terminal. Moved to VS Code. Haven't looked back.

I am working on a similar system. I am using multiple devices. A tablet for the screen and as the central processing unit. A microcontroller to handle the physical buttons which is connected to the tablet. OBD2 for showing odometer and stuff on the tablet. A Bluetooth a2dp device because I effing can't figure out how to enable a2dp sink in android. Working on dvb-t connection with android for FM. It began as a small project but quickly grew in size.

A common sight in india sadly. Though situation has improved in recent years. Though not as much as it should have had.
