@YourMom Compiler Flags are your friend!

You dont need to use the official library. You can cross compile literally any cpp http lib. As long as you wrap where the data gets sent. Its a different story for the networking stack. (Layer 1-3) That one is pretty much vendor dependant unless you want to make the effort.

Lets hope for no more evergreening

You apparantly like to be pegged. Fingering around in your asshole.

Thi kinda reminds me of this quote: "How do you kill someone that does not exist? Any way you would like." - We're on hell, Area 51 and the Geography of a secret.
-

It sure is not as shrimple as on Windows but man has it made big strides due to Valve using Linux on the Steamdeck. I mean I can get any singleplayer and most multiplayer games to run with good performance. Some examples:
 - CP2077
 - Fallout 4 & London
 - Oxygen Not Included
 - Overwatch 1 (While it still was a thing)
 - Insanely modded Minecraft
 - Disco Elysium
 - Spiritfarer

Althou writing this list makes me kinda feel like I'm old, because I barely catch up with games newer than 2020...

So its either an actual medical problem or one that capitalism created

I feel like the process got a lot more robust lately. I was easily able to update it on my Thinkpad from Windows. No need to download a specific file to a usb drive.
Also did A LOT of firmware updates on industrial automation gear. Never had an issue. Except programming X20CP0482 those things are a nightmare that you have to download the software with a piledriver!

What saved me like 1k in taxes a year was cancelling my church subscription. I dont know why church taxes here are so goddamn high!

@cprn HDMI, unlike DP, needs to be licensed in order to be able to use any of the HDMI name or logo. According to the HDMI website its 5k$ a year + 1$ per device sold or 10k$ a year. All of this is also kinda murky defined and there seems to be somewhat conflicting information in the internet. So its pretty much necessary to run it through a lawyer wo will very likely be paid a fortune and take forever to give you a concrete answer as to where you need to spend even more money on licenses. Just to not be sued in the long run.

@MammaNeedHummus This is a story all about how: HDMI licensing requirements in the embedded world.
