So I’m heading off to college soon, any tips for diving into robotics engineering or just college life in general?

Does anyone know of a simple facial recognition program that I could train locally on a set of people’s faces?
I’m tasked with culling through a few hundred photos to find ones of certain people. I need the originals taken off the network drive and copied to a hard-disk.

I run two servers, one that runs WordPress multisite and one that runs a vpn. As a self taught sysadmin I learn best through projects. I’m also interested in databases and backends for iOS (swift) apps. Do you have any suggestions for what I should make my servers do next? Thank you.

Anyone have a spare 2TB external hard drive they want to lend to me? I’m trying to re-partition an 8TB drive but it’s being finicky so I have to take all the data off and wipe it. Luckily I only have 2TB on it. I’m going to ask my IT director if he has one today. Wish me luck 🙃

So a few weeks ago I wiped my MacBook Pro to regain some space and speed, it wasn't really that slow I just had the disk partitioned into two installments of MacOS. When I erased the disk I thought the secure thing to do would be to set the format to journaled, encrypted rather than just journaled. Everything was working fine, there seemed to be this weird step of login when I restarted but whatever, except iCloud Drive. On my iMac it works fine but for whatever reason my MacBook Pro doesn't want to download custom folders (ones that aren't created by an app and don't have an app icon on folder icon) from my account despite them being clearly available in iCloud.com. So after this much time of messing with it I'm wiping my MacBook Pro again and formatting it as journaled (not encrypted). Wish me luck...
