-
I'm there right now ✌️

Mostly soundtracks. Often Hans Zimmer. Lately I often start this medley: https://youtu.be/FaxqVBYVOVU

Any interviewer here? What questions do you ask normally? I find it very hard to come up with questions that provide meaningful results...
-
@mjones44 @Bitwise after rebasing a feature branch (onto current master or just to clean up) I find this very reasonable
-
Also bitwarden here.
In the self-hosted variant on my server.
Why:
I used KeePass before but it was ugly keeping the DB in sync on all my PCs (Work, Home Laptop, Home PC, Backup on Home Server) and the Phone.
Therefore I looked into a more feasible solution but I wanted something self-hosted. -
I always think of this when reading something about RegEx: https://xkcd.com/208/
I personally can finally do some basic stuff without always googling first.
Nice websites to test RegExes:

@lp150189 It sure is the right thing to do! Nevertheless it's a bit sad for me personally as well as for the company to lose a good developer.
-
Additional comment:
I also met some people with master's degree who cannot code one single line without help...
You always need the right people for the right job. -
I guess my opinion is not that popular but in my experience most self taught programmers lack some background in algorithms, data structures and theoretical computer science. I agree that these skills are not necessarily needed on a daily basis, but sometimes it's good to have them.
However it also depends on the position you're applying for. If there is a good CTO or software architect in the company it can work well with some people who can code but lack the theoretical knowledge. -

You can order them for free there if you order for a user group or your company. -
If you still want some help regarding the Arbeitszeugnis feel free to drop me an email at dk@devland.de
Perhaps we can work something out together. -
No he didn't :D
-
Read the original Project Zero article and grep for AMD

You're welcome... -
@ThatDude there are as many rumored maximum values as there are finance experts in the world. Some mention 500.000 to 1.000.000 USD for one Bitcoin....
-
@hypervtechnics Of course I tried to solve it for the past 3 weeks... :D
-
57k € a year. Senior Software Developer.
Java Backend, Android and Web with Polymer.
Germany -
@gitpush Mobile and Backend Dev here. (Ok, and a little frontend)
-
@xico FiraCode with Ligatures turned on in IntelliJ. And I love it.
-
You could buy a new laptop that has a connector for a docking station, like the expensive Lenovos. 😁
-
@TerriToniAX nope
-
@TerriToniAX He was there. Talking more about our internal interview process would be inappropriate, sorry.
-
@TerriToniAX Since he's coming today at 4 now I could ask him if he uses DevRant. Could be interesting.
-
Come on guys. Perhaps I'm a bit judgemental but part of the requirements is certainly to be able to be mildly on time on a place that is easily found online or via the address on any traditional map.
-
But hey, we also had one a few weeks ago that came in about an hour (!) early. So you see a lot when doing interviews...
-
Yeah, he called now that his battery was empty and we re-scheduled the interview to 4pm today. We will see. But the first impression was not *that* good.
-
I don't think that such online courses can replace a college/university degree. So be glad if you have one.
-
And with that effectively prevented companies to use your lib in closed-source software.
(Yes I don't like GPL) -
I have the same feature in my app. I ignore them now. At the beginning I was mailing back but I don't bother to do that anymore...
-
Since I use IntelliJ I forget to save in many other applications... IntelliJ saves automatically.
