I think my eyes have cancer now...
-
At some point it kinda clicks i guess. Could be worth it to grab a course on udemy or something.
Its sort of like ASP.net (🤢) -
I'd join those companies just to fuck with them, build up 2/3 of a codebase like I'm working at 3 star pasta restaurant, and then just abruptly leave.
(if said company is refusing to suit my needs as a lead of course, like hiring a team, if they have the budget, of course not with a 5 people sized company) -
I have the same issue, but after a while i just figure out how to make warning flags for people that i dont want to be disturbed, like skipping lunch, keep my headphones on, stick my face close to the screen when i see people in the corner of my eye.
-
@Evgenij 😩😤
-
Could you repeat that? It made me feel tingly.
-
Just brick your laptop with a usbkiller or something "yeah, the darnedest thing, it just stopped working..."
-
But I also agree with @Sid2006 , this isn't the forum for this.
-
@Sid2006 Please, by all means, explain to me which part of "Don't stick your nose in people's personal business" sounds dumb?
-
Well, for starters, someone's sexuality or identity is none of anyone else's fucking business but the individual themselves and who they choose to involve (ignoring bad faith examples).
Secondly, It seems to be getting worse in society, people are becoming more intolerant towards things they don't deem as “normal”, which again shouldn't be any of their business, to a point where people are fearing for their life.
That "LGBTQ nonsense" is not getting out of hand, it's the bigotry that is getting out of hand.
I'll leave it at the door whether your example is a bad faith one or not, but it sounds sus. -
Jump.
If the boss thinks it's better for productivity, or doesn't trust their employees to WFH, then it will not get better in the long run.
That lack of trust is a massive red flag imho. -
Splendid idea

@retoor You're dutch, and dont know Tata? same company as in Tatasteel/de hoogovens
-
Got no tips for others damaging your car, but for yourself be sure to break or scratch something as soon as possible, it takes a lot of the edge off.
Like the front bumper (its gonna scrape over bumps), or the side of your rims (also buy rim protectors) -
You can always refuse.
But i am confused, what does being a girl have to do with cleaning the server room? o.O -
Any public text, sure.
Art that people upload to public galleries/portfolios, eh not so much, I'd like to see an opt-in for it that scrapers have to adhere to (good luck with that I guess).
And easy tools for web developers to add anti ML scraping measures like glaze. -
Because manufacturers cheap out on making the size of the outer shield to spec.
-
Oh i got it too, i just chose to be obtuse x3
-
Im a backend developer on the spectrum that goes to the gym at 1 AM, there is a 1 in 3 chance i most certainly do not XD
-
@kiki Notch became rich as where X2P1158 was born into it.
You don't really see people being born into wealth, or people that gained their capital over a period of years instead of seeing 3 digits being added to their bank account overnight, spiral out of control like that (exceptions aside).
All we can hope is that they won't just become apartheid boy 2.0 -
Its morally reprehensible, then again, the kid's gonna grow up with access to 179.3 billion dollarinos worth of retail therapy, so I think he will be fine.
-
@retoor ah bummer :/
-
If you're dutch, you could try Bunq, they let you make debit CC's
-
Start a food truck, cant automate away having a human make you food by eyeballing and tasting and socialize.
(sure you can automate those individual steps, buts its never gonna be like how nona made it) -
@retoor I just lost interest in working on it, the downside of ADHD, you can start 100 projects with an explosive passion, but always run out of motivation about 1/3rd in and go on to the next one :P
So now im trying a new project once again, also trying to keep it small in scope, something with a relaxed gameplay loop in a sci-fi desert setting. -
@soberGhost sure, here and there, some like Bethesda properly embrace it.
But its not as vivid it used to be.
Not that im a fan of fortnite, but since Epic basically released mod tools for it, hopefully we might see it a bit more again in newer games. -
@soberGhost Making levels is always pretty fun, I made a few maps for Killing Floor 2 a few years ago. It sucks that modding games and custom multiplayer maps have died off in popularity so much :/ (otherwise i would have made a Battlefield 4 map set in the Warcraft universe x3)
-
@retoor I tried making a low poly zombie/monster survival where i had the idea that every building was accessible and you could build your camp in with anything you could find.
So i got about as far as that you could pick up anything and nail it to the walls, over doors and windows etc.
Also wanted to make the city with a full working infrastructure, so if for example you wanted to take over the power plant, you could work it and give the whole city power, same with water, etc.
Other ideas were like an RTS where the battlefield could be changed up during the fight, think like blowing up a dam and flooding an area.
