@ginjikoibito I always change that to the normal way ! the other is so stupid
-
@tahnik honestly you don't need to waste the money on the PCIe card since the SSD should be fine. but if you have the extra cash, go for it. if you can afford the i7 get it. it'll be future proofed. but if you need to save a little the i5, 16gb ram, SSD will do just fine for you !
-
@zzyzy I'm still a student too.. but I work at my university and own a small business so I have extra income.. but I'm sure you know, once you get one you'll be so happy lmao
-
@zzyzy why don't you buy an SSD and upgrade it ?? I don't use anything but SSD's anymore. my gaming computer has 3 500s. my MBP has a 500. and my surface is a 256. can't live without them anymore lol when I service clients with HDD's I want to throw the computer out the freaking window
-
corrwct, but if you have a core duo and 2gb of ram and an ssd, you'll still be crying when you want to use chrome and compile at the same time lol but you are right. thats why I said don't skimp on the SSD. very important my friend @zzyzy
-
alright let me fix both of those comments.. although @ToshNeox is mostly correct.
I recommend an i5 minimum, stay away from AMD in my opinion. 8 gb of ram minimum. definitely an SSD, get a Samsung evo, it's worth it. the SSD is one thing to not skimp on.
if you are building a computer, make it in PC part picked and post it in the comments. if you're getting a laptop, try to stick to Dell or HP. they last the longest and are top of the market for now. I am a developer and it tech, I work with this stuff everyday and through my business I build a lot of computers.
what's your budget like? if I get some time I'll build you a desktop on pcpartpicker for you to look at that is under or equal to your budget. pertaining you're not looking for a laptop that is -
command + c
and
control + c
always catch myself using the wrong one.. -
@h3ll thank you. and just for everyone's information, not that I have gotten an answer yet, but the post on SO has over 20 new views and 2 up votes.. so hopefully someone will come up with something soonish
-
@lreading no I actually haven't, where can I find it
-
@h3ll and no one has answered it in 3 days, so I'm sharing it. it's not like I just posted it and am being impatient, but 3 days ago isn't a short time.
-
@h3ll oh and how is it beg posting? my life isn't going to end if you don't answer it. I'm not begging you, I'm asking kindly for your help. if you don't have an answer, stfu and move along. or make your own rant about how annoying a post asking for help is.
-
@h3ll and why is that? are you against helping other devs?
-
@bluescreen we might actually, hopefully he won't last if so ;)
-
oh and @rozzzly if he changed it, it wouldn't be nearly as great as it if. so again, stop ranting about nothing
-
@donkeyScript you don't. it's nice to somewhere at the end, but you don't as long as you don't claim the content as your own. and @rozzzly stop getting your underwear in a knot. he didn't claim it as his own, he just reposted it. and you have a lot of other people to yell at on this app, because theres a lot of reposts without links. so get to work, you have a lot ahead of you
-
@Larsg310 Scooby doo
-
that's the thing about programming. you are always learning new and hopefully more efficient methods. call your old self an idiot and now you can classify yourself a genius 😁 haha good job !
-
@flipflop sounds good to me; sorry man, maybe it'll make all of our lives easier;)
-
@Amitkumar you are 100% correct. and he is one of those people that thinks his opinion is always correct. maybe it was a lack of research
-
@mercurysmessage in your opinion what is it missing? it lays a base for frameworks to be developed which allow it to grow and become something amazing for a project
-
@mercurysmessage woah woah wait a minute. JavaScript is not horrible, it's in fact a great language if it is used correctly.
-
this is so true. my most recent client is "an expert in web development" and gives "suggestions" and "best practices" he wants me to use on his site.. if he is such a f**king expert, why doesn't he do it himself ?!?! - P.S. he admitted he was reading articles on the internet about web development. when he gave me the link they were from 1990-2000 date range..
-
@rookiemaverick not true. most of the company still develops a lot in Python and uses it vastly. I'm not saying everything is, but a lot
-
I was about to rant about you, then I saw the end 😂 well played buddy
-
no no no no no! stop that! semi colons are the best
-
well all of those comments ^ and Google runs mostly on Python (I didn't say that did I? the whole company...)
-
@dfox that is awesome, and I agree they are funny. the only time I get annoyed is when a "developer" says how much they hate Java and classify client side and server side Java in the same category
-
I work with Java a lot, mostly back end, some client side, but honestly I love the language. people bash it a lot and it's understandable, but they are bashing the client side Java. what do you think @op?
-
@Heatstreak yeah man you right. honestly I was probably the same way the first time at my office. but I'll give him a shot. hopefully he will be a cool guy.
-
because corporation's don't always make sense haha
