Flight attendant: Is there a doctor onboard?
Dad: *nudging me* that should've been you
Me: Not now dad
Dad: Not asking for a Software Engineer are they?
Me:Dad, there's a medical emergency happening right now
Dad: Go see if "Deploying code to production" helps.2 -
Wow, just wow.
The Dutch national security spy agency and also their military one are complaining that the organisation that was brought to life to check if they don't spy on innocent people (and execute illegal hacks and overstep their surveillance powers etc) is investigating too much and asking too many technical questions relating to ongoing operations.
Well, this shows that this is necessary apparently! I'm glad this organisation is doing their job.
Oh, the irony.13 -

because they SERVE CLIENTS!

Can't find any quiet place in my uni. And for some reason it's always a group of girls giggling. They're always there. Every fucking corner of this campus. But I do know one place they never are...
You guessed it.

me: the source code is currently store on GitHub and we use GitHub Actions after each updates to compile your code into binary before deploying to your servers
client: storing source code on GitHub (external server) is insecure and breaks compliance
me: so i guess you will need to have a copy of the source code on all your servers and build them directly there (too cheap to have a separate build server) instead of using GitHub Actions
client: yeah
me: keep in mind that all your certificates and tokens are going to be store as plain text in all your servers so if a hacker gain access to anyone of your servers, they will have access to everything.
client: yeah, this is in compliance to our security policy3 -
I heard that "options are options" so - maybe we should have even more options. What do you think?25

This is textbook definition of bad design. Only 2 or 3 lines of actual content visible, and there's no way to dismiss that notice.6

Tomorrow I'm going to rent an office for a year to code with some collegemates that barely know of coding, they about to learn and they putting some money on table. I'm stressed.
Wish me luck, I'm coding apps with Flutter.
