Ah yes, telecommunication systems. It was fun working on an 1k updates pending windows 7 laptop that can only be accessed remotely by another customer-supplied laptop and is not allowed to install any program, nor allow data sent to.
We had fun versioning without git! -
He just wanted to document how to call this.getData()

@12bitfloat I guess you haven’t seen those typescript projects where every second variable is implicitly any to make anything work.
If you can’t make typesafe vanilla js, typescript can also be counter productive. It is js after all. Any statically types value can be a different type at runtime.
It’s no use when you define an api respone property as number when in reality it returns a string-number and you may never even notice. -
What I like about Kotlin/springboot is that you never really know what happens exactly.
-
Typescript is only a tool to maintain type safety. If you struggle with types in vanilla js, you probably should revisit the types basics before blindly trusting typescripts “type assurance”

I didn’t. I wanted to do video production. Company also wrote code. I did better code than everyone else. So I just did more.. and more.. and more.. then it became a full time job.

Yeah sure!
Just don’t move and everything will be the same. -
Guess like any other parent in any other business.

When you’re done, think about how they made compilers compile their compilers compiling their compilers source code.

Idk about you but when targeting modern browsers, css is a breeze

Wait, people do background checks?
If that’s the case, they would have asked why I have been fired twice in a row. -
U dumb lol

CSS is easy, noob

Didn’t work, try again
-
Because then you are the master of none.
I’m a Frontend dev, I specialized on angular in particular. But I still work with every other framework. I still do backend. And I still write Kotlin, Swift, go, C#, Python and some ruby.
But I am most definitely not a full stack dev because of that. -
Just use c# instead
-
Many great libraries exist that do this already. Nothing new, nothing special.
-
Ssshhh... he’s a senior, he’s allowed to do that.
Now clean up after himself. -
Used it for some time in the past. It’s legit.
-
Well then don’t do it, or else I will hate you for being a shitty Frontend dev.
-
If you mention “magic” in development, you maybe shouldn’t write code.
-
The they both have the legitimate reason to exist and live alongside.
Script kiddie wannabe comparison is what you see here. -
I mean, there are legitimate use cases, even if it’s very rare.
-
Yes, use opera
-
Well if you’re a dumbass, yeah
