They have switched to utf8mb4 a long time ago.

My cats do the same, and sometimes they even write some random characters on the keyboard while watching the monitor react.
Once I left my laptop for 10 mins with all programs closed and lock screen on. I found it with Chrome opened and showing a search page for a random long string. Unfortunately, there wasn't any results. But they somehow managed to type my lock PIN, open Chrome and then search.
They are learning so fast.

If I need json with comments, I simply use yaml. It's also much easier to read.

I switched from PhpStorm for same reasons.
I like PS but it's way too expensive, and also I never used about half of its stuff.
I like VSCode now, it's lightweight, fast, and more than enough for me, especially with its rich extensions and customizable interface.

strlen returns the string's length, rand's max is inclusive in PHP, so it could reference to an undefined index

@irene, @Froot well yes, at least it works but it's not too pretty and a bit slow for a solution - problem is, there are too many slow and not pretty code in this project, making it unstable and incredibly slow - and a big pain to fix anything

@IllSlapU yep, the whole codebase is a garbage, mostly we can't even understand the previous devs' logic - but sometimes we find some even worse snippets, like this.
