This is not a developer-related rant, but honestly, I'm annoyed, and this felt like the best place to vent.

My Twitter account has been suspended/restricted. I can still log in, but I can't tweet, follow people, anything.
No reason was given to me at all for my restriction, other than an automated reply when I attempted to appeal it stating they suspected my account of being hacked - an account I hadn't used in about a month, has a randomly generated 12 character password and has 2FA.

Here's the thing - I didn't grow up with Twitter, I've never really taken an interest in it, I only have my account to post dev stuff now and then as I know some over devs do - It felt like a good place to easily log what I'm currently working on and show off my work that I was proud of.

There aren't any other platforms I know of where I can do that, other than here (but my work consists of things that are also not dev related, so...)

I have no idea if I will get my Twitter account back; it's been over a week now since I attempted to appeal it with absolutely no response.

If anyone knows decent platforms where I can share my work and progress (dev, art, level design, etc.) and can use it sort of like a dev blog, I would greatly appreciate it.

If I ever decided to open source my work in the future, I'm sorry in advance to those that read my commit messages...

Received a message from a recruiter on my LinkedIn, decided to meme it.

One thing I never "learnt", if learning this is even an option, is things such as UI Design. All my projects in the past have used some sort of template or framework such as bootstrap or more recently quasar.

However, now I really (like really really) want to learn some Design stuff, I want to make my own projects from scratch using my own design and make something that I can look at and be really proud of.
I've been following Adam Wathan & Steve Schoger's `RefactoringUI` (https://refactoringui.com/) and it's absolutely amazing and delves into so many little details I would have never thought of but without would make an app so bland.

What Design resources/things can other people recommend?

After 10 days of waiting for my replacement Xbox from microsoft... It never came so I asked Amazon and they sent me a new one with next day delivery. Just received it today... And it's defective.... fml.

So back on November 7th I received my Xbox one x project Scorpio edition, unfortunately the model I have suffers from some sort of defective thermal paste and after a good couple of hours of elite dangerous at 4k, it shuts itself down and I have to wait overnight for it to work again. Microsoft said if I send them it they'll give me a new one in about 2 weeks, my solution is to hold it outside my window for 5 minutes to cool it down. God bless the cold of the UK.

Just received a CD that contain < 5gb worth of stuff from my fileshare at my secondary school.
can't wait to find a computer that still has a cd drive so i can find out what coding wonders I have on here...

Someone needs to make a site that generates cool project names because I swear it's the hardest decision to make.

Obviously they're wrong.... I do some work now and then.... only now and then...

Hey Everyone I'd like to let everyone know that I finally found the original file for my Doomsday Algorithm and thought it would be fun to show you the dirtiest code I've ever written (I was 12 when I wrote it).

My Biggest Dev regret is both learning CSS and not learning CSS well enough...

One of my favorite things to do in Secondary School was to go around telling people I had written a program that uses the 'Doomsday Algorithm' which sounded really cool and always scared those who didn't understand it.

Truth is, the 'Doomsday Algorithm' is just an Algorithm that used to determine the Day of the Week of a given date.

I wrote this when I was 13/14 years old and I'm still super proud of it today.... well I mean I probably would be if I could read my own code.

The overwhelming annoyance when you figure out that the thing that's been causing your code issues for the past 3 hours....
Is because you did a greater than comparison rather than a great than or equal to...

Just wanted to say hi to everyone, been reading through Devrant past couple of hours and found it both insightful and hilarious.

It'll be nice to finally have a place to rant about shit my friends would normally not have a clue about.

I'd put a lengthy intro about myself here however I'm not really about that.
