I'm not that scared by Google. Facebook is another ball entirely.
I just use Duck Duck Go because of the awesome features like the bangs. :D -
@JoshBent ...I didn't read that one. huh. Well well. I'll have to email him. Again and again then. :P
-
@linuxxx Hey! Saw your first article, it was a great read. Will you have some sort of comment system on there? I immediately felt like bouncing a couple of things, and realised there was no way to do so.
If you don't, I'm just gonna have to create a blog so I can start a conversation with you :p -
Bg color: #363636

Seems to be smooth, not too dark, not too bright, great readability. -
That's not a DDoS, that's just me refreshing again waiting for some content to appear. :P
-
....... .. . .... ....vim. sorry. :P
-
I have a laptop with a touchscreen. -_-
-
It's true, and it's our job to get devRant back to where we want it to be. :)
-
Because all of the mobile social networks are slowly converging to become the same beast. Slowly they are grabbing each feature that made he other unique in an attempt to stay relevant and keep growing. Their only goals are to adapt and grow. Kind of like parasites. :P
-
Essentially, a lot of small incremental changes instead of the huge boost we're used to.
-
@sirjofri even if it was written only once, in the right context, it is the spawn of Satan and should never have seen the light. There are circles of hell dedicated to it's madness. There are forms of tortures less horrible than comic sans. It is the only font breaking the Geneva convention if ever used in war.
-
@Gatgeagent chill. No need to start screaming and pouting.
Yes, html is (just) a markup language. Though with html5 and associated technologies, the line is starting to blur a little.
It's still developing though. The dude is still a dev, even though he's not a programmer.
And there's a limit to elitism where you just sound like a douche. -
@Lel00 I'm glad it's gonna go away man :)
-
@stimulate Because all of us are tech literate of course. But in the real world, there are moms, grand dads, uncles, little kids and so much more on What's App.
There is no way these people that are not tech literate deserve abuse for that, do they?
I still have to remind from time to time my mom that Facebook won't steal her photos, even if she puts the warning in her feed. Do you mean to say she deserve to get hacked?
There's a lot of people out there with different skillsets than yours, that doesn't make them idiots. -
And an imagemagick script to enhance the "security footage" of the killer.
-
@Lel00 so first of all, I'd like to welcome you to the fun fun world of light sensitivity induced migraines. Couple of things :
1) like everyone said, go see a doctor first. It'll help verify something's not wrong, and you're "just" having migraines. They'll probably give you a prescription for something like naproxen, and that's a very good thing. It will help.
2) Again, if it is migraines, ensure that your light level in the room is always good, so as to remove the bright effect of the screen. Computing in the dark with a screen and RGB lighting is now a big no-no. Doesn't mean it will happen everytime but it puts you at risk.
3) if the lights in the street at night are getting blurry and strong, you're starting a migraine. Pop some Advil naow.
4) Always get be rested. Never strain your eyes past your limits. This will decrease the likelyhood of migraines.
Be safe! -
Ha! I still remember when coding website was done in notepad. No ++ there, just plain notepad. ffs.
-
You can short it to just : comic sans. That works as well as a nightmare.
-
I know the feeling, I'm one shy away from the stickers. Here's a ++ to get you a little closer friend.
-
It was funny as hell at first, but now it seems like devrant is saturated
-
This is great! I'm having a lot of fun! Only thing I had a little problem with is the range at which you can touch and have it register. Oftentimes I was clicking far away (where I wanted to go) instead of right by it, only to get killed because it didn't register.
Great job! -
@TechnoTrumpet hacker news! Great place with great content :)
-
@bizzarist aww yeah that's what I'm talking about :D
-
@dfox sadly the mentions don't pick up in rants yet.
-
@nblackburn helps to set the shock and horror of the scene!
-
You are right. We need a term that makes sounds. Typewriter style. With bells on each return. And a wooshing vortex sound when sshing.
Oh! There should also be a pacman eating progress bars.
It should have a retro futuristic look, and the name has to be something like acid_burn or Zero_cool. -
Haha I'm late to the party, but I still threw a ++ your way. One day I'll have a stressball. First though, the stickers :p
-
....Qutebrowser. And then Firefox. Never again, Google and Microsoft.
I wonder if Vivaldi has some kind of vimperator? If it does I'd be willing to try it. I like Opera I'm the olden days. -
Vim vs emacs is a holy war. Both sides don't know why they are fighting, or who's winning, but they are, and they will continue to fight for no apparent reason. Even tough clearly vim is superior. :P
-
Dude after my own heart.
