aaeim3168yMostly power consumption improvements. If you are on a laptop and that extra battery life is what your heart longs for, then it's worth the upgrade. But performance wise it's not that much of an improvement.

Although the IPC seems pretty much the same, they have better higher base and boost clocks plus they're better overclockers - getting 5.0GHz on the 7700K is actually fairly normal!
Also if you use the Intel HD graphics, they have received a performance boost. -
Essentially, a lot of small incremental changes instead of the huge boost we're used to.

Dacexi120368yI assume you are talking about Intel. Mostly minor optimizations and more power efficient.
