@2erXre I don't think of my work as doing just what I am paid for. I think we as engineers have lot of power to empower others, our small decision can make big difference to people using our products. So why not improve something if it can improve others life, I agree that we should do what we are paid at the end of the that's what we are there to do. But doing only that is very robotic and eliminates human element out of it. So not for me.

Yep there are lots of tools one is SonarLint, it has plugins for various well know IDEs also can be included in your Jenkins or CI builds

@iNCEPTiON And with latest VS you can choose your development environment i.e. if you are only using it for C# you can just install C# environment skipping things like ASP etc that should help with resource usage
