Indeed there is a Google Docs equivalent. It’s called "Collabora Online". It is a self hosted LibreOffice Online installation, that can be connected to your Nextcloud instance.

I don’t like JSX also. I also don’t like the concept that you have to create the JSX code in several different functions. JSX ist not compatible with custom HTML attributes and JSX is also used for several non-HTML things, mixed with the HTML things.

I like web frontends. Backend and desktop frontends and not mine.

Why do you think so? (I don’t like it also)

Sometimes I wish that browsers understand TS natively, also. But now I realize that this wouldn’t be good. Now TypeScript can be improved very fast. Microsoft can just release a new version. With native browser support, this wouldn't be possible. Every update would take months and years to be usable in every browser.

@electrineer yes, but they're mostly credit cards. Our Girocards mostly have a debit card of visa or MasterCard build in, so you can use them in other countries also.
The reason why we mostly don’t use credit cards is simple. The Girocard system (formerly EC-Card system) was invented before credit cards were a big thing.
VISA and Mastercard are US Companys, but the German and European bank system is far more advanced than the US one.

@Stuxnet we have cards, but there are just not credit cards. Even if many people have a credit card, we mostly use a "Girocard." This is a debit card that is not issued by VISA or MasterCard but by the bank itself. It uses the Girocard standard, so you can use it in any shop that accepts cards.

@electrineer i have this Problem too on an iPad. If I watch an English video the English captions are automatically turned on. I have to disable it every time (I'm German)

@Root The main problem with „suck“ is that it doesn’t mean „suck“ in this context. Actually the German translation is correct, but it loses the colloquial meaning.

If you use an ad blocker at golem.de, they will show the same amount of ads AND annoy you with overlay banners.

@PonySlaystation @C0D4 a bit of both. The problem was that everything had side effects on everything else. So it wasn't possible to change just one small part. Every refactoring was very big and had too many side effects. Fortunately, I don't have to work with this codebase anymore.

In Germany we have this saying „Nach mir die Sintflut“ ("after me the deluge"). It simply means "I don’t care what’s happens, when I'm gone. Even if the whole company falls apart".

I like css very much. I like it much more then any GUI builder I've seen in the past. One reason is that you can do nearly everything with css. And it is not as hard as many people think. It just needs a little bit of practice.
