@NoToJavaScript in practice I would agree most of the time, but here we're talking interview questions. I would much prefer the candidate who shows a clear understanding of the theory and fundamentals over one who thinks the difference is just the presence of absence of a body.
-
To quote the HTTP 1.1 spec: "The GET method means retrieve whatever information is identified by the Request-URI." In other words, it is incorrect to use a GET to upload data to the server.
POST, on the other hand, "is used to request that the origin server accept the entity enclosed." So I'd say your answer was spot on.

Wait, WhatsApp backups are in plain text? The fuck?
-
@NoToJavaScript Most of the time, I'm already getting diff-objects from downstream, so building a PATCH is trivial. But if you get full objects from your downstream, I can understand how a PUT would better suit your needs.
-
@NoToJavaScript how is PATCH too much work? If you use proper libraries, you shouldn't have to change one or two lines to move from POST or PUT to PATCH
-
Wait, what purpose do CONNECT, OPTIONS and TRACE serve?
-
@sharktits not every blockchain implementation is P2P, and not every P2P network is blockchain based...
-
@sharktits that is not something blockchain solves, though it often uses large scale distribution. Blockchain based GPS is retarded, peer-to-peer GPS would be cool.

🏕️Just setting up camp for when linuxxx decides to make a business out of it (or needs help with that)
-
@mehrsachal just do a hello world post introducing yourself, we get to know you, you get ++'d

🏕️ juuuuust setting up camp

Also have a look into the legal advice and help hacker one might be able to offer
-
@stop I said a managed domain, that's excluding any hosting or ssl or anything
-
"Yes, for a managed domain we charge 25 euros extra"

This perfectly explains why SO is shit
-
@linuxxx sign me up! I don't really care where it is, and if you need any help in organising I'd be glad to help out
-
You got those priorities straight

@dfox OUR LORD AND SAVIOR HAS SPOKEN
-
@PrivateGER well, that one is 304 not modified
-
@PrivateGER it sucks we can't find comment 301, but 302 is found
-
Welcome!
-
Linux themed adult content, obviously
-
@Codex404 that is understandable but the guy never wrote a single line of JS, that's why I said "_prejudice_ towards javascript". But if you actually dislike and have good reasons for it, go ahead and hate it all you want.
-
I'm getting rather annoyed by all these php-is-bad posts. Have any of you tried php7? Or even php5.6?
Sure it has its quirks and there are some weird things, but every language has that. -
Welcome, and good luck with that client. I'll be looking forward to all the rants.
-
Can I put up my tent here?
-
@windlessuser it's essentially sending a long post body at a ridiculously slow speed in the hopes of filling up memory.
