Why when I actually tell windows to update does it take an hour+ to find the new version, but every time you boot it finds 100s instantly 😕

Types first line of code, girlfriend wakes up, complains about the lowest screen brightness with dark theme being too bright.
Motivation killed.

Been trying all day to install Ubuntu into my laptop, tried multiple USB sticks, DVDs, no luck...
I have no idea why it doesn't want to work. I've done this plenty of times before 😕

I was working on a project a while back making a language system, we obviously wanted to know what language the user had set so I looked to adding it to the database.
I've seen messy code and I'm not a gold standard but fml..
I ask the other dev who wrote the code and we end up spending a while getting it sorted. I had never seen the database before... 100+ fields on the main table...

I quit not long after. Hated that job and I have many things I can rant about from it.

Wondering what phones people are using? I myself use the galaxy s7 edge, switched to android from iPhone to try and make apps and Android was easier than trying to make them on iPhone.
