@bittersweet by having a big budget that is way to go, if you narrow the field of responsibility for each dev there is way less chance for mistakes.
However it delivers quality software but expensive, having 5 people working on it raises price tag for a project a lot... So fullstack devs is a compromise for that, because it's hard to have them working in sync, its hard to organize them -
@bittersweet it's completely fine if you keep it as simple and organized as possible, if one of these are "false" you will see yourself writing a job ad "Laravel developer and DevOps specialist proficient in Tensorflow, Angular prefered" :D :D
-
@Voxera yeah, i noticed that this is the business plan of many small start-ups:
1. find a client who is tech retarded but wants something
2. find an intern who knows shit but will work for as small salary as possible
3. profit
now when project comes near the end and both parties start to see that the project will go down the shithole then take some more money and rent a senior from a bigger company and hope he can fix it in two week sprint...
sad truth.... -
and they offer 800 eur a month... i agree with Voxera more, they are throwing the hook and see if someone catches on... and in this way they are seen by a every programmer whatever job he is searching for... the actual job is presented on interview i guess...
i don't think any company in the right mind would have a stack this wide, for example Laravel, Spring and Ruby on Rails... why? -
@Crismon that is a detail i found usefull, mostly when changing something a lot of unused css is left...
but i think at a big cost, how many lines you need to change if a client asks "lets remove border radius from buttons"?
you cant change it globally because it will affect all other elements that use this class -
do you people know a single language that it doesn't suck?
-
i saw a dude on GitLab made 17 :) but the manager on that project is dumbass so i don't blame him... God help him when he needs to put all that shit together
-
it doesn't matter, even in weak typed you still need to know what type you are working with
if you make a mistake on strong typed it wont work
if you make a mistake on any other it also wont work :) -
sounds like "can you work your job but a salary of a Junior Frontend Developer?"
-
@Fast-Nop true, choosing CSS framework is choosing lesser evil, idea behind it to "write less", but on official tailwind doc there is:
"<button class="px-4 py-1 text-sm text-purple-600 font-semibold rounded-full border border-purple-200 hover:text-white hover:bg-purple-600 hover:border-transparent focus:outline-none focus:ring-2 focus:ring-purple-600 focus:ring-offset-2">Message</button>"
there is exactly 254 characters on one line for one simple button
and ok i can live with that somehow, but if you need another button beside that looks exactly the same you still write 254 characters, and so on
but there is probably some advantage since a lot of people are using it, i just dont see it -
@kibabu arent you a script kiddie :)
-
sounds like a Promise()
-
"php is shit", "php is for idiots", "php has security flaws", "php doesn't worth shit"...
-
it optional but prettier forces to remove by default, tbh i never questioned why :D
-
@MagnumPanda it's Google, if they want they could lead the market overnight
-
@Quirinus your last name ends with ć? Baš o tom problemu pričam :D
-
@alexbrooklyn not a secret but i don't talk about devRant so often, so i think most of us don't go around and talk about devRant... so who knows... how can you tell i'm not your long lost cousin that you haven't heard from for 10 years...
-
didn't you have a hotspot on the phone?
-
hehe pihole :D because project name "butthole" was already taken :D
-
jesus! :D
-
@Codex404 sure, but i think the wider range of one employees responsibilities the less quality product... i know all of these, but i think its better to focus on one thing, and do it perfect than all of these simultaneously
-
@odite hahaha i don't know if they count blade as front or backend :D
-
-f? Hell for you old man!
-
just today i started to go through a whole project for these :D
-
@AlgoRythm you've got the point when i think of it, i haven't compared strings in server responses for that very reason... but i think messages in API calls are important too, i mean it's not enough to send 422 to a user without a message what is wrong
-
i don't know, it's old game, i've played Couter Strike when i was younger, but if you want it go for 1.6 version, it's easier to master....
-
because we pull dozen of packages from npmjs.com just to have prettier font... year by year we loose one important term "resourceful"
-
@AlgoRythm message is important also, nor do i or my collegues know what the hell 446 means, you need a message about the details... Later on you have a detailed message, who cares if there is 446 or 445, so everybody turns to responding 400... The rules of code entropy 😁

docker || dockerHub? :D
-
has anyone used more than... 5 to 10 of them?
